there’s a guy locally that said he’d sell a working Naomi Cart based board to me for $150. Does MvC2 and CvS2 have cart versions or GD-Rom versions only?
Marvel VS Capcom 2 is a cartridge.
Capcom VS SNK 2 is a Gd-rom.
Does that only include the motherboard or is an I/O, PSU and/or amplifier included as well? If it is just for the motherboard it is horribly overpriced.
Good question. How can I tell?
The best thing to do is look here http://www.sega-naomi.com/
it has all thi info and pics you will ever need for a naomi system. Also just so you know the Gd-Rom drive needed to play games like gg and cvs2 will cost you another $250 and the Marvel cart sells for about the same.
Ok, so if I want to just use it to play MvC2 (which is a cart) I just need the motherboard and the cart?
no you need the motherboard I/O adapter and power supply and the MVC2 cart. The best set up if you do not plan on using the dg-rom would be to just buy a Capcom I/O adapter the mother board and MVC2. The capcom I/O does not need a separate power supply as long as you are only running carts on your cab. So this is what you need. http://cgi.ebay.com/Sega-Naomi-Marvel-vs-Capcom-2-Jamma-and-More_W0QQitemZ270196362238QQihZ017QQcategoryZ3945QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem#ebayphotohosting
By asking the seller…? :looney:
Thanks for the info.
I think the seller may know less about it than me.
So ask for a photo and post it here for us to judge.
