Excellent pedigree my ass. Unless they’ve grown beyond the angst-ridden tripe of their old titles, this game won’t appeal to anyone but the emo crowd.
Not only will the story inevitably suck ass but, judging from Xenosaga and Baten Kaitos, the battle engine will probably be slow and lame.
XenoGEARS on the other hand…is quality shit.
Hell YES. I’m glad it’s not a fighter but a strategy RPG. That means it might actually SELL.
I hate Monolith Soft, anything Xeno, and couldn’t give a flip about Namco characters, but a Tactics Ogre style RPG with Street Fighters and Darkstalkers >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> You fools
I hope to god its brought to the USA, perhaps with Capcom of USA owning the rights to Streetfighter it will be?

Aww crap, now I’ll have to learn how to play StratRPGS, aren’t they kinda like super indepth? It’s kinda what turned me off FF Tactics, I couldnt be bothered learning the 100,000 strategic job/team/playstyle matchups

Accoriding to Iggy of Madman’s cafe, to celebrate their 50th Anniversary (Namco was around before they started making video games much like Nintendo) Namco was considering making a game like this, a sim RPG with lots of characters but they could only come up with 100 characters, so they used the oppurtunity to get friendly with Capcom for the other 100.
Full list of Capcom Characters spotted on screenshots or spoken of in interviews or had artwork of them spotted. Please let me know if I’m missing anyone. Some of these maybe just cameos.

Seroiusly, anything I see that has a resemblance to FFT is automatically awesome. If they are going to put Tales characters in, might as well put Kratos. Him and Dante make a great team.
Oh, and for the haters. AT LEAST WE HAVE PROOF (screens)THAT THIS GAME IS COMING OUT, UNLIKE SAMMY VS. CAPCOM, WHICH WE HAVE NOT SEEN A SINGLE SCREENSHOT SINCE ITS ANNOUNCEMENT A YEAR AGO. I hope the story is done well, though. An RPG with a crap story is pretty much a crap RPG. We’ll just have to see how the characters do in battle (who will be the fighters, mages, thiefs, etc.), and how equipment will be managed. I also hope that the game will take a decent amount of time to pass, and then BOOM! My life will be taken over again.

Since this is a crossover, who cares if the story sucks? People will buy this just for the characters. If the story sucked, you can just quit paying attention to it. The fighting system, you can’t. A Tales of Symphonia player should know this…

Strider will be in this game. Therefore it is the best game of all time.
