fits easily. if i weren’t so impatient i could have saved even more space by trimming the wires to size before crimping. it plays exactly like my stock namco w/360 converters.
haha. i like them both, but my namco still gets a lot more play time.
That’s very clean and small PCB is a great fit. Are those stock buttons? I wish the Paewang had a PS2 connector as well like the Mayflash. I’d put it in everything.
Nice job on that mod zeetes!
You’ve inspired me. I think I’m going to toss my brand new dual modded TE on ebay today and use the money to mod up my Namcos. IF anyone wants dibs on the TE before I list it PM me. I have GOT to get one of those paewang boards. It looks like it’s practically made for modding namco sticks!
EDIT: LOL I just realized NO ONE would want a dual mod TE in the Namco thread! I must be nuts! lol.
it came out of the box ready for the 360 plug and play. to switch over to ps3/pc or back to 360 you hold down turbo when you boot on the system. it will keep the current system active until you switch to a different system.
but i have a few questions that wasn’t really clear. first, the paint on my namco stick looks very old and worn out. what kind of paint and primer i’m assuming, what you guys recommend? i’d also probably have to do something to the metal on the bottom…
also after unsoldering the wires from the pcb, all i’d have to do is stick some qe’s on each microswitch correct? all of this sounds so simple if that’s really all i’d have to do…seems like modding a namco stick sounded so complicated before. thanks in advance.
You might need to bend the contacts on the buttons before you can attach some quick disconnect on it. Since each button on the Namco stick is wired with one signal line and one ground line, you can connect the wires from each button to the PCB without daisy chaining it.
Very nice! That’s a good condition stick by the looks of it.
Hopefully my TE will be sold soon and I’ll be able to afford parts for my Namcos. The one is in good condition like yours but I think the other could use a little work.
