Don’t people know that Beanies are staple attire for So. Cal players? no respect stealin’ your Mojo. don’t feel bad though i my virginity was stolen to two cows and a tractor trailer while i was in NE.
Heee Haaaw Fuckin juice! … Wished I caught that shit on camera
That was a great and a humbling experience. I really dont think the Japanese players that came skill level was all that higher than my own. I just need to start concentrating on one character which will be hard for me, and learn patience. I wish I could have used more characters in the 5 on 5. Dont ask me why I used Yang? I was shocked that KSK wanted to be my partner in the 2 on 2! Even more shocking, we lost to Datrick and Pyro Lee! I’m glad that I only had to fight one Chun Li player from Japan in the singles. I did not get a chance to read all what was said. Me and Pyro didn’t get to play Sean vs Yun 10 times, maybe like twice I think. But he won both times. I only beat him with Alex one time in casual.
Pyro,Frank, and Vic were 2 Good! I like your guys style. Pyro your Yun is second only to Mester…and K.O. I guess. Mad props to the other Cali guys that came too, yall were dope in Cvs2 as well as 3s. I beat Cambell one time in casual with the all mighty p groove. This was the best tournament I had ever been to as far as comp. Their were no scrubs whatsoever. Flash was impressive too with Akuma.
I think in the end I got overwhelmed with over expectation and I rushed into death. Playing too eager and aggressive ya know. Not an excuse just keep’n it real. None of these results mean anything to me. Because anybody can beat you once in some stupid 5 on 5. I beat Izu and that guy won the whole singles tourney but I wouldn’t dare say I’m better then he his. It was all about playing the best players, and new players. Even though we did better than the old team USA’s team did Japan was still handicapped and they were so good they made me question my character selection. I honestly think team USA that repped at N Cubed was the strongest US team ever by far. Thay were just as hard as fighting the Japanese to me. Everyone there was cool as fuck in person anyway and nobody acted all cocky and shit. I think we got some respect from Japan and some US players so N Cubed was definatley worth it. Team Japan remember I’m taller than all of you.
Peace Out everyone
Blood Urien
I completely agree.
Nelson, good shit on getting the top US placing in CVS2 and winning ST, hella props.
bloodurien, why didn’t you use urien?

nah i am not trippin:p i am done with apex anyway.so its cool
i doubt if it is reason no.2
Look at all the ppl who said they were coming to evo and didn’t show,or the ECC’s…my point is that for every tourny there are ppl that can’t or won’t show. The tourny being in Ne had nothing to do with it.
So Buktooth was fueled by the almighty Hee-Haw! For those of you who don’t know, we have a grocery store that carries a generic version of mountain dew,and that is what its called. There’s also another great generic version of mountain dew here, called “Whoopty-dew”.
yeah now everyone start playing 3S and catch up!!!
max: the thing that most impressed me was god damn makoto. that trick is fucken cheap!!! i was actually playing at a pretty high level imo, and i still couldnt beat izu, who was probably playing not at full potential. i was also, well, not impressed, just amused, that everytime izu would command throw, he would wave his hands over the joystick as if it were some type of ritual. pretty funny to me. dont know if anyone else caught that…
btw, thanks NE for having a decent tourney, and thanks Japan for coming out and competing. it was a good tourney skill level wise, but people wise. i think the community should show more support. bunk ass arizona tourney, then N-cubed was a bit of a dissapointment. once again, not skill wise, people wise.
mike
Do you mean that more people should go or that people who do go shouldn’t mouth off and steal shit?
Watson, I like your style - I wish I could have played you in MvC2 and seen how badly I’d get whooped, but I guess my glaring defeat at ST will have to suffice. As for 3rd Strike, I’m confident I was starting to get my stride in the losers, losing to Ino (sent to losers) but making a decent showing against Jamaar (2 single-round wins, and the other matches weren’t one-sided either). If only I’d had another person to play against before Jamaar, I think I could have regained my momentum and played better.
Will DBA or anyone else be putting up some vids online for the viewing public?
I’m working on the master copy vhs tape right now. I will sell all 3 5on5’s and both the singles & 2on2 3s tournament on vhs for those who don’t want to wait a few months for the dvd…
I’ll be putting up a few select matches from each of those events online for people to download within a few days.
For those wondering, Team USA 3 was decided by the results from the singles tournament. FlashG & Frankie placed 5th. Datrick & Jamarr got 7th. But since they are already on Team NE, we went to the next best non-nebraska players who placed. That was Pyrolee, Watson. Vic & Danny both tied, but Danny forfeited and gave the spot to Vic.
lmao, man this post just made mi day >) Hee-Haw juice=geezus.
SoCal owned Ne in the 5on5, but it was real close in the singles. I’m not going to say who’s better, because its totally irrelevant, but I’m just saying, the difference between Ne & SoCal is very minimal to say the least. Big props go out on both camps. Everyone played their hearts out.
Here’s the action that went down in the singles.
Jamarr eliminates Masagi & INO from losers. Advances to fight Vic Vance. Jamarr beats Vic. Advances to fight Watson. Jamarr beats Watson. Advances to fight FlashG. FlashG beats Jamarr.
Butch beats FlashG in the 5on5. FlashG beats Butch in the singles.
Simon didn’t figth any team usa 3 people in the singles tournament, but beat 3 of them in the 5on5…
Datrick beats Pyrolee in the singles pyro beats datrick in the 5on5, advances to fight Frankie, and loses.
Lots of close matches. To say that either NE or SoCal own each other would be false I think.
well singles is nice but everyone knew the japs would own.
so 5on5 is a better indicator.
actually its not because 5on5 is only single match. 2/3 is a lot more accurate…its irrelevant that Japan took 1st - 4th, when Ne & USA 3 fought each other in the singles on so many occasions…But again, I’m not trying to say who’s better. Mester told me that Nebraska and all the past Team USA’s seem to be of the same “power”, and that neither of us are on their level…which is all that matters.
i though u guys are making it on dvd? just asking
