god damn, where are the 2on2 results

Well from what i saw the jap players are still on another level from usa players. There mindgames are alot more complex as they breakdown ur options. Us usa players just freestyle for the most part. So in other words…Jap still owns us but I saw usa players catching up and learning
them as the days went along…and tiresome I had fun at this tourney as it was a great experience…I learned way too much.

O ya the props…heh. Well ya much love to the socal foos who came hard. Specially to Vic for busting out ken and whooping me up after i beat his dudley:eek: .Scary dudley man… cant forget my new usa idol Franky man he just has a dope ass get in yo face cause i can parry ur shit style. O ya cant forget the smoking breaks. To bad i didnt play up to my par. It was just too much shit going on. Made me think so hard. O ya Nelson next time i gotta go drink with ya. Man it was just a hella tight show. And Watson gets mad love for showing he has mad 3s skills.
Cant forget my Omaha cats who as always manage to improve I love u guys. And Rimi (jap girl yang player) who was whooping people up and showing girls can actually play. So all in all it was the greatest 3s tourney ever :D.

D

I had a good time, but I was a little irritated that MvC2 was so blown off it didn’t start until like 9:30. Some of us were tired and wanted to go home, so it sucked we didn’t finish until around one or two AM the next day.

I had a lot of fun meeting the Minnesota crew and getting PEACED THE FUX by Mike-Z and his Juggz shenigans. You should save that shit for the tournament play, Mike, because the surprise factor is a good portion of the victory!

It was nice meeting the Japanese players and their wacky clothing styles. It was just weird. But they were really nice…and of course, they didn’t get to play on Japanese sticks. So that had a lot to do with their skill levels.

It was also really cool meeting some of the St. Joseph peeps again, and getting in some good rounds. Everyone’s really improved!

Anyway, anyone wondering who I am, I’m the redheaded guy who just walked around with headphones on, a NES shirt, and a tape around my finger for about seven hours. I also kept bitching about MvC2 not being on freeplay. Props out to Medicine Man, Cory, the dude from Chicago who was really cool and doesn’t post who’s name I forget, the guy who let us crash at his pad (sorry if those fuckers left the gate open bro) and to the dude from Colorado. Hope to see you all again someday.

Peace!

PS: And I just want to say that I feel everyone has given Mike Watson a really bad rep. He was totally cool, I thought. Real nice guy to me, shook hands, everything. None of the shit I heard about.

PPS: It was also really cool watching Super Turbo. I can’t really understand that game, but I think it’s fun to watch. NKI went on a streak and fucked people up hardcore…he was seriously beasting. Beat Watson, Nelson, like five Japanes guys, jeaux, and other random people who are probably famous I’ve never heard of. It was cool.

Glad everything turned out well.

Hopefully the DVD/Video will be out soon.

Sorry for bothering with this, but did you guys cap any matches with direct feed?

Thanks

i don’t think usa team ver.3 is equal to team japan ver1 not to hate (mad props to all u guys i must say that i am impressed by the results) but do not sleep on this victory u still have (we all have) a lot to do to really say that we are the equals of the japanese…

PEACE

that girl’s name was Ri Ri

Your boy nelson won ST

I beat Datrick once at ST, actually taking someone to the 3rd match of the set. Granted, I was also perfected 6 times, but oh well…

The full results are now up on the link I posted earlier, in case people didn’t know.

This was truly the best 3s tournament yet. The Jap players pulled out impressive style. Mads props to * The whole of Ne crew* for making this happen and WHOLE COUNTRY for doing extremely good against the japs. Thanks stacy for housing me. I am definatly coming to the next N-cubed for more 3s maddness (and maybe cvs2 :D)

Peace out to u guys. Have a safe trip back.

Well as for the apex for MvC2 and ST that won’t happen. Wilson has no idea where the MvC2 brackets went someone took them so I can’t do it. Kuni took the ST ones so I can’t do that either.

Ri Ri was very good, defently better than me. That is the first time I have meet a gal that was better than me at 3s,which was real cool. I had Izu first fight in the 3s singles,I put up a good fight his Makoto was crazy:eek: At least I beat KSK at GGXX. I got the first fight then he got the second one,he has a very good Faust. It was a lot of fun playing the Japanese,I hope they can come to MWC

Very well said yo. I feel the same way. Good job TEAM USA. FlashG is from NYC for those that didn’t know.

It wasn’t entirely so cal team (FlashG is from NYC), but they played great reguardless on who was on the team. Everyone should be glad that the USA showed much improvement in 3S. Even if it’s not against the top 3S players in Japan. The USA couldn’t even do that before, (like at EVL2k2 and B5) so it’s a step in the right direction IMO. I wish I could have went to this tournament.:frowning: This tournament should be the 3S championships for now on in the USA. I say let the new tradition of great 3S tournaments in NE continue. Thanks to NE for making the best 3S tournament this side of the world. We all should be happy that there’s a place in the USA that wants to promote 3S as a mainstream game in the capcom scene. Lord knows that we see MvC2 and Cvs2 sooo fucking much that it’s a breath of fresh air when another game besides the BIG 2 (MvC2 and CvS2) are featured at a huge tournament. Keep it up NE.

My 2 cents

Holla!

well the low turnout means either a couple things

  1. interest in 3s not that big as we thought
  2. because it was held in NE, not many people could attend

and i hope to see some NE or TO players TRY to qualify for the 3s 3on3 super battle opera tournament. Just TRY to. because 3s in japan on japan sticks is unreal (i’ve got beat down many many times)
