i’m going to just assume everyone isn’t retarded. so i guess i’m retarded/can’t communicate well.
Acceptance is always the first step.
I was really just saying “let go of low forward” because the guy is trying to practice the game. He can low forward hit confirm practice against the computer in training mode. The entire game I was able to easily get right in front of him because I know how to cover my ass against a low forward. Over and over I was able to get in. It was too easy. Why? Because if it wasn’t standing strong, it was low forward and staying aware of Ken’s two staple hit confirms is easy-peasy. In staying aware of those two, I don’t even have to consider cr. strong, the work is done for me. Your oki game isn’t bad at all, that’s one of the areas that benefits from you not using low forward.
BTW, you didn’t look too lost. I may have caught you by surprise by being a few steps ahead of you at certain franctic moments but it’s not like that’s not expected. I’m kind of a genius, you know?
Also, saying that he should use low forward relentlessly is asking him, a player who just admitted to getting the feeling of being in uncharted territory, to close his eyes and keep walking after becoming aware. Y’all are the definition of a troll. Next time, Igloo, keep my name out of it and watch the swarm of likes and agrees.
If you want me to be more clear. Read your PMs. There’s a reason I was telling you to stop. But I don’t want to share it here, suddenly.
PS. Pherai, your shoto has a spinning kick and demon flip as well as the fireball and dp. He was playing Ken. araider, stfu you play Chun.
Dander I need your help with this too plz! lol ppl walk up on me all day
thanks everyone (and thanks for the PM Dander, useful stuff for sure).
it’s probably kind of vague just sitting here talking about it. I think the big picture is that by crutching on low forward I am becoming very predictable on defense and in the neutral game. my use of low forward and my neutral game zoning patterns are never going to beat a strong player. I’ve built a neutral game around beating weak players. they’ll run into that all day. so by letting off low forward it requires me to start thinking. of course I’m not swearing off low forward, I definitely recognize what a great tool it is (that’s why I default to it!). I just need to be less one dimensional.
Rule number 1. Don’t play +2 delay. Or else you’re going to be playing some braindead version of the game.
First rule of thumb: Dont take advice from Dander!
I love you dander. I’m coming back to USA next month to visit. Let’s play 3rd
Part of what I feel Dander gets at (or, at least, how I get at it), is that you shouldn’t get tied down to just one move. If he’s telling you to let go of cr.forward, chances are you’re probably relying on it too much as a crutch instead of a separate tool that complements the already vast array of options Ken has.
-_-
Bring your S+ game.
Same to the rest of SoCal!
if you So Cal guys play some games it would be cool if someone brings a camcorder!

I usually take my tablet and try to record but always forget to use it because it requires someone to hold it in place and I hate asking people.
@ryan.
Are you guys rigging up A-Bomb’s cab in your garage again?
