My thoughts on pre-launch Playstation All-stars (I actually have a copy)

So I’ve got a copy of the game and I’ve only spent about 2 -3 hours on it. Here’s what I think so far:

[]I’m enjoying the combo system. It’s short, but tough to time certain things. Most involve a launch and then a timed jump attack to follow up.
[
]I like the moves of each character just fine, but I wish that the characters with skill shot attacks like Yoshi’s egg toss, were allowed to be controlled. It seems like the distance in all the moves I’ve tested is a constant. Sweet tooth’s molotov cocktail can be held for a longer distance.
[
]I’m bothered by the fact that you can only get kills with supers. Some characters have a **** level 1 that misses most of the time. Having level 2 usually gets you a kill, but even then it misses for some characters. Level 3 pretty much always kills everyone lol. The reason this bothers me is because I haven’t found a way to combo into supers yet.
[
]Arcade mode is definitely lacking. It’s just match after match until you’ve played the whole cast, then you play your rival, then you play the boss. Same old same old.
[*]The only thing that pisses me off about the game is the volume levels. In the options menu (which has barely any options in the first place) you can adjust the SFX volume and the Music volume. The music is way too quiet regardless of how much you turn it up and the SFX includes the announcers voice which is so much louder than everything that it just ruins the experience. This isn’t just me complaining; it’s clearly a problem that they need to patch when the game actually comes out.

Overall the game has its flaws, but it’s still fun to play with others. I really enjoy doing combos with characters from my childhood.

I’m still pretty happy that Sir Daniel Fortesque is in it. Hopefully they patch this game a lot when it comes out. Perhaps add new modes/fix the small problems with individual character stats (re-balancing is usually inevitable) and definitely fix the **** volume issue. I can’t enjoy the game if I can’t hear the punches that my character is dishing out. All I can hear is random character phrases and the announcer. Please please please patch this.

Thanks for reading guys! Hopefully it was interesting.

Also, feel free to ask me any questions you have about the game!

do the characters with crappy level 1’s have any different advantages? like can they build meter faster to get a level 3?

are level 3’s even worth it? or is it a waste of time to save up for an instant 4 kills when you could use multiple level 1’s and get like 8 kills

I’m playing as Dante and I’ve found ways to combo into level 2. Level 1 I’m still working on. After a low wallbounce if I’m in the air I can do it sometimes.

I’m playing as Nathan Drake, he has a lot of tools to use. He does feel alil weak against some of the cast (Kratos).
