Ibukis overhead should be nerfed period. There is no reason why it should be +3 on block, that shit is retarded. She has enough tools to maintain pressure as it is.

yeah when people say “they don’t play SF” they mean SF2. which is why people can say Alpha 2/Alpha 3/3s/SF4 are all not SF. all of these games have diverged from what SF2 established in one way or another.

4 has diverged the most I think. most characters that are any good have tools around traditional SF stuff. ignore footsies with dive kick, ignore projectiles with whatever you want. universal options or character specific options, take your pick.

4 is a million times closer to SF2 than 3S. Alpha (either) I don’t know. Parry and lack of autoguard alone completely change up the gameplay.

mmmm i dont think having a vortex of some kind immediatly qualifies as “not sf” characters like ibuki and akuma still do need to play sf to get their initial starting point for their nonsense.

Viper on the other hand has nothing to do with sf lol.

I would love to be able to train on a different stage, or at the very least, let me change the training room music.

also, i would love to be able to randomly play ALL the music. instead of just stage songs, mix in character songs as well. or let me choose wich songs the game plays, cuz i hate some of them.

a rematch button on endless would be SUPER.

Parry does not change the flow of the game as much as the molasses walk speed of 4 does. Which seems to inform the rest of the decisions made in SF4 as well - you don’t have great walk speed so some characters need to be able to ignore footsies and get in easily. characters need character-specific and general engine ways of getting around zoning. wakeup pressure comes in the form of OS guessing games. SF4 is really not much like like SF2 at all - so it isn’t hard for games like 3s of CvS2 to be closer.

4 plays and feels very much like 2 to me, and I’ve been playing 2 since 1991. Not HD remix, mind you, not Champion edition, but Street Fighter 2, the World Warrior.

They feel very similar to me. 3s doesn’t. That’s just me.

Actually SF4 it is much closer to sf2 than 3S or CvS2. Parry system is a much more game changer than SF4 walk speed. Parry changes the way footsies and zoning are played, the use of fireballs, and many other things. And cvs2 with all it’s isms…
