You cant super jump with Hakumen or the combo wont work.
It’s optional, Super Jump’s do work. Perdy sure Spark SJC’s.
I do not super jump in the falling C combo. I do it consistently with out it

that link is for CS but the falling C combo has not changed.

Common problems / Solutions:
- You do the falling j.2C too early so you cannot connect 2C before they tech.
- This just takes practice to get right, some people look at Hakumen’s knees when timing this. When his knees start to bend after the jump cancel use j.2C.
- You do the falling j.2C too late and they tech before you hit them with it.
- Same solution as the one above.
- After hitting with 2C you can’t super jump into j.2A.
- You are probably doing 2C 9 j.2A. Which will not give you a super jump. You have to go back to neutral after hitting with 2C and then back to down then up to get the super jump.
- You can’t airdash after j.2A into another j.2A.
- Just a timing problem. Just hold the second input, like if you were dashing right it would be 6 hold 6 to use advanced input to help you out.
- You cannot get the j.C to connect at the end of the combo.
- Some times they will be too low for j.C to connect at the end of the combo. Usually this happens if you super jump from 2C after letting j.2C hit as low as possible.
great guide

Whoa! so Noel’s considered easier to play than Jin damn than I suck, I’ve always found Jin alot easier to play than Noel, and I’ve been playing Jin since CT, but I’m totally struggling with him alot in matches in CSEx to the point where I’m thinking of dropping him, any advice would be soo appreciated, also how good is noel in CSEx? thinking of picking her up in place of Jin >_<!
thanks for this really informative post. Im trying to learn Hakumen, as he looks visually dope, and learning the system at the same time which seems complex atm. just going through challenge mode
Hakumen is a very cool character, and also extremely strong in Extend (Definitely in the top three, possibly the top 1), and he doesn’t do too much stuff “outside the system” as it were, so he’s not a bad beginner character, though his combos execute differently from the rest of the cast.
Challenge mode isn’t a bad place to start at all, though I recommend you go through his character specific section of the tutorial as well, because it’ll explain a lot of stuff. It’s a bit of a wall-o’-text though, so it may be tough to take in all at once.
thanks for the advice, will do!
with hakumen, instant blocking and his drive combined are your best friends. once you get a good feel for him, learn the combo tendencies of the other characters. his drive puts fear in EVERYONE because it can lead to massive damage as well as positioning priority. just try not to be predictible with it.
yeah, his drive seems to be godlike.
