First off thank you to grandabx for writing that guide. I have usually only played SF. My mains are Dan and Yang. I decided to pick up this game last night to give it a shot because everything that i have seen really really reminds me of Street Fighter Alpha 3 on mega overdrive. Im trying to use different characters to find ones that i like. Any ideas?!
What characters do you enjoy playing? Rushdown, Zoning? Long range, Brawlers, Grapplers, Technical characters? Mindrape characters?
For the most part im a very heavy attack player. I like getting in there doing a bunch of damage and getting out.
Damage as in. Combo > Ender that throws them away
Or Hit and Run?
Combo’s with Space = Jin
Hit and Run = Hazama, Tao
hit and run
Hazama is your man. He is S-Tier, And without Doubt in S+ with 50 heat, He is Dangerous anywhere on the stage, Great close range game, Mid range AND ok long range, Insane damage from Distortions. Annoying to fight against, Zones really well. Gains heat faster than anyone else. And as I said, in a tier of his own when you have a Jayoku prepped.
Wow!! thank you very much!! After reading your post i ran to give him a try and your absolutely correct!! The way he plays is not a huge transition for me from sf. Great call!! Now if i may whats the differences in the different releases? I have BlazBlue: Continuum Shift is there any that you recommend?!?!
You’re on Xbox live, So head to the Xbox Live Marketplace on the Blazblue CS Main Screen, Download System Version 1.03 This is the Console version of Continuum Shift 2 (CS2) and get some Practice down, I’d recommend Training mode first, get the basics of how he moves and what his normals are. Then head into Challenge mode and get as far as you can. Hop into versus and play against Hard level bots. Then repeat this process as much as you need to become gdlk.
I’ve played him around 340 times, and Never lost a Ranked match with him, Add me up if you ever feel like some games, I could show you some tricks with him.
Also, When Dustloop is back up, Check out the Hazama section, The Combo’s there are easily the best you will find, And will make your Hazama incredibly hard to beat when you master them.
Any news on when it’ll be back? I’d be very keen to check it out.
I’d say around a Week. For everything to get back into Top Shape, CPU Usage and Network Problems take time to fix on that scale. It will be up before then, But I’d imagine it will take a lot longer before it’s working at 100%
BB is an under appreciated but decent fighting game imo especially when you compare it to today’s standard fighting games, I think the comparison to GG is what makes it seem so bad, you just need to give it time to grow. Also I main Tager, he is by far the easiest to play execution-wise but you gotta know the match ups otherwise you’ll get smashed pretty hard.
Fantastic!! Thank you TrueFist, And after a little practice i will deff ask you to play a few games. Thank you for everything.
No problems.
And RoGE9, I agree, People moan and bitch about Tager and his 720, But if you play smart, Tager is usually Free for characters such as Hazama. Respect for Tager mains, You do have to play smart. (Against Good players, Anyway, Tager walks through Noobs)
how come jins the best character
imho the list should be like this
Ragna, Noel, Tager, Bang, Platinum, Tsubaki, Jin
Lambda11, Mu12, Hakumen, Hazama, Arakune
Litchi, Makoto, Taokaka, Valkenhayn, Rachel
Carl
i made this based on the amount of effort you must pull in the character to get a mid to high performance with the character
after this level the characters that are hard to learn are the characters that need placement and advanced movements or being full aware of your environment and mad hit confirms
Very good guide. I dont know if I skipped over it. But you should put in that Training mode for many hours doesnt hurt either. Sometimes it’ll be boring of course, but its also good to learn new things and try them.
How the hell is Taokaka 1 of the hardest characters to learn. I started playing like 2 weeks ago and I’m not having that much trouble with her. I can land her combos easy and mix-ups consistently. She might not have a decent reversal, there are a number of other defencive mechanismes that can help you. Maybe its just because I’ve played a lot of different fighters, but she doesnt seem that hard to me (although, every time Im in the corner it feel like she’s doomed unless I have 50 gauge).
Ok so i have been taking TrueFists advice and Playing nothing but Hazama. I must say. . . . . . Holy Crap this guys the shit!!! lmao you were right on the money with your recommendations. Thank you again very much!!! If i could give you an award or something i would in a heart beat.
I have also been playing around with Hakumen. The guys a beast!!! a lot different to play though.
Hakumen is a great character. But his main combo is pretty difficult. If I remember its.
Drive / C Cancel - 623AA > SJ > Minor Delay > j.2C > 2C > SJC > j.2A > IAD > j.2A > j.C
Timing on that combo is nuts.
