Mind is bottom tier as far as stones go. In the three weeks I played this game I only encountered one person who used it. I don’t see in the tourny circuits neither.

Fighting Danes is a pain, fighting Dantes in lag = them just pushing buttons…forever…and it working.
Some teams should end up being really cheap in it. I think it’s Team MegaMans best stone as that team can punish so much shit and lock you down for free mix up once they’re loaded with meter. Armored level 2 buster super punishes everything for huge damage and just one bar. Genmu Zero is probably the best level 3 in the game that does huge raw damage for HBD’s and is very scary when you have to deal with a Zero in a mind storm that basically can’t be hit and can just spam supers out of all your pressure. The level 1 locking you down and then can tag to MegaMan for free mix up off a reversal.
The mind surge is just an extra bonus and I’m sure a team like that will have decent setups for it. You have to build a team around mind stone so it’s not easy to just slam it together online, but it’s almost certain some of the better teams will be mind stone teams. Especially since Marvel has a history of the most busted shit revolving around hyper meter tools
HSD glitch bad

Mind Stone’s effectiveness is entirely related to how strong your team is with all that extra meter. A few stand outs I’ve noticed:
- Arthur can use Gold Armor more often, since the extra cost of re-armoring isn’t a big deal. Also, just throw out the level 3 as Mind Storm runs out since you can tag out.
- Strange’s neutral becomes dangerous when he can use Vishanti/Rings without worrying about the meter burn
- Hawkeye’s Gimlet becomes really spammable. So what if they block a few; tag them once with a random Gimlet and you’re at a huge advantage by performing a tag combo.
- Zero has pretty good hypers, so he can make good use of the meter
- Gamora’s level 1 hypers are pretty good, so you can use them risk-free
- Morrigan has a safe reversal hyper and an install, so feel free to go nuts with her meter spending
- Since Firebrand can spend 4 bars of meter to maintain both of his install hypers, you can go apeshit during Mind Storm
- Dormammu without any restraint on spamming hypers is absolutely terrifying, and he can also use the stun from Mind Surge for a free Rose Garden
What you don’t want to do is pick someone with a really long animation like Dante (you don’t gain meter during Million Dollars even though the timer goes down) or a big body that can’t really use the meter for neutral and doesn’t need the command grab. You don’t see a whole lot of teams from the list above (the only top/high tiers are Dorm/Zero/Gamora and maybe Morrigan), so generally you can’t justify Mind over something like Reality, Space, or Time.
After watching wongs nova… I think nova is pretty decent. That’s already known but the pressure he is capable of off of his command df lp xx special or reality stone is amazing.
Thing about nova is he has lots of moves that move him forward that he can use for tag pressure.
Then reality stone in the gaps where you can’t tag and bla bla.
Taking this concept I need to find more characters that have stuff that moves them forward.
Am I crazy if I think Thor is pretty mean in the current reality stone happy game we play atm? He just doesn’t give a fuck what’s in front of him with charged dive. He’s got a good projectile, too.
Been trying team shirtless(Haggar/Thor alt costume) and it hadn’t bad. Thanos seems a better fit than Haggar on this team day I’m what I’ve played.
Having a lot of fun with cap/Hawkeye soul stone. They have a good bit of synergy with certain buttons during soul storm
The problem is when those same characters seemingly work better with other stones. For example, Morrigan moves up the tier list just for picking Time Stone alone due to the dirty mixups she can do with LP Harmonious Spear (including one of the best incoming setups so far). Gamora seems to work better with Reality since the surge adds more hitboxes to her zoning and covers her rushdown. Dorm works better with Space, etc.
I think Arthur, Chris, and zero are your go to for mind stone.
If you’re just talking solo then yeah some of those characters objectively are better in other stones, but like Arthur and Strange together is most likely best in mind stone.
Install super characters are probably the braindead easiest to put on a mind team as install hypers don’t freeze the meter in the storm. You can just keep stacking them for free.
Yep paired with a character that needs to be in, it is quiet easy to close the gap with him. d/f+LP has a ridiculous range and his qcb+LK or HK are good tag blockstring. That is why I’m pairing him with Spidey or Chun-Li.
And Wong add another layer with the Reality stone on whiff. Really, it’s hard to not let Nova and his partner get in this way.
Nova is really good. He’'s basically like Dante where they took just about everything good about him, added more good stuff and the tag system just buffs on top. He’s just not popular enough for people to talk about yet.
Has basically everything you need in the meta other than an invincible level 1.
For me the primary thing that I like is the good boxdash derp. I’m loving boxdash derp combined with some neutral ability. Novas boxdash is one of the derpiest, and his javelin is decent for neutral.
Then add on good tags and and command normals… he’s like ultron but without a beam.
So is it me or does it seem like Captain Marvel and Nova are equally as strong and do the exact same thing? I feel like nova is just faster and she is more “ham” with armor
