can’t really plink dash like in mvc3 if thats what you mean
neither as far as I can tell, he just has regular inputs for everything ( hammer is just qcf.p, volcano is its own input etc )

You can’t just mash pushblock like in MvC3 anymore. You have to time it again like in 2.

Flashmetroid plays RR and strange and has some pretty crazy setups. No plinking I believe. Advancing guard is pretty different. Not sure bout thr tech window.

You sure? Any footage? If you can plink it must be 1f timing, best mobility I can get in the air is to double tap air dash whiff jab.

From the discussion and footage of most top players I’ve seen, I think the deal is:

Plinking on the ground isn’t really a thing anymore. Everyone’s been going with wavedash. FChamp has tweets and videos of his new backward wavedashing technique.

Plinking in the AIR however, for flight characters, is still good. You can still scurry around the sky like in UMvC3

I have to figure out what button combination i need to plink air dash with Morrigan and Jedah. Can’t find anything that works yet

Whats the purpose of plinking an air dash?

You get to rapid air dash in the air a bunch of times until the flight timer goes out.

Yeah kind of miss Morrigan’s old movement, felt smoother. But it’s nice that after a fly, her air dash resets. So she can do air dash - fly - air dash - unfly - air dash

So i gotta wavedash to move around on the ground? That sucks. I had juat started getting plinking down to a science in Ultimate. Oh well.

Still no information on the throw window and the leniency? I haven’t seen too many people tech grabs in this game yet so it is starting to look like if you grab someone that you are at their mercy (not including command grabs just regular ones)

so i think Space stone is gonna end up being top 1. not because FChamp recently switched to Space, but for the following reasons…

During storm:

[] No tagging or counter switching - makes finishing off a character so much easier. it’s like a temporary “kill” on their 2nd character

] It lasts SO LONG - hitting them inside it doesn’t seem to drain much at all, unlike Power
[*] It’s one of the best *defensive moves in the game - if you can’t get someone off of you, you have no flight, you’re trapped in the corner etc, simply box them and move away. You’ll have like 10 minutes to decide what to do next.

] Happy birthday setups - I actually noticed this in the FChamp v Combofiend exhibition. If they make a bad tag or counter switch, popping the box brings both their characters closer together for much easier punishes. A lot of times someone will tag, you start hitting the inactive character and they jump away to cut off your punish. Not anymore.

From what I’ve heard space surge armor beats heavies

if that’s the case then it’s in the “upper class” of armor, which means it’ll absorb pretty much anything from what i read in Olaf’s doc. gonna do some testing tonight…

edit: just checked Olaf’s doc again and he says it uses light armor. i’m not sure now

What happens with Ouroboros during time storm? Does he shoot a shitton of orbs?

Space seems to have some nicities with Thanos palm loops, the fact they are cornered midscreen is ridic.

Goes back to my Space Surge xx hyper grab theory. Doesn’t Thor have a level 1 hyper grab? He could potentially be really broken with that tool. Ghost Rider and Nemesis both have extremely long range cancel normals, so you could potentially blow someone up pretty bad like that too.

I’m really really enjoying time gem at the moment. Jedah’s got a simple way to combo into storm activation for almost 80 percent at half full. Mobility is something very important in this series as you all know, and I feel having flight/8 way dash/tri dash plus teleport is so OD.

I guess Olaf is right. Tested in training mode and space armor loses to heavies.
