MvC3: You are Defeated: The Magneto Combo Thread

Sorry for the DOuble Post. Though for me i use these as his Regular BNB from anywhere.

-Lets say start of with c.L,C.M,c.H, S :
J.H > (Air dash foward) > j.M,J.h (Land), re jump into j.h > (Air Dash forward) > j.H,j.M, (Land), re jump into j.h > (Air Dash forward) > j.H,j.M, (Land), St.S,j.h > (Air Dash forward) > j.M,J.S (Knock down/ Land) XX Gravity Squeeze.

*Or if u only have 1 meter then:
J.H > (Air dash foward) > j.M,J.h (Land) x3, st.H XX Magnetic Disruptor HXX magnetic Shock wave

  • i just use this combo more often due to the ability to either Xfactor into wutever (loop or squeeze) or if early in the game and i just wanna change char’s , so i do another super chain.

Hope that this is somehow his BNB…aint hard, but i believe the most damaging for him that i can find. specially that it can be done anywhere, and the more loops u do the further it will put opponent to the corner for Qcb+L loop maybe?

Just need to make this clear; newb question: Regarding the loop “J.H > (Air dash foward) > j.M,J.h (Land)” repeat. Is the Air Dash a normal one or air dash down forward? What’s the secret for the timing? I’m just doing a normal air dash, but I can only get one repeat, mind you I’m practicing in the corner now.

It’s a forward air dash. The timing is basically do it fast. You’ll start to get the flow of it after you land it a few times, but yeah basically you have to just do it fast imo

As well as it depends all on the very First launcher in order to loop. So when u launch opponent either do j.h (into dash) really fast so it will lead to a short Jump after the Launcher… or simply jump and take ur time, though after the j.h and then the dash DELAY the inputs for the j.M,j.H so it give u time for u and opponent to reach the ground faster(or be near the ground).

so basically try to do it where the ground is as near as possible for the very first loop (right after your first Launcher…that’s the idea), so you can easily re follow with a neutral jump j.H into the same loop.

Alright, I guess my muscle memory hasn’t got it yet, as of now, I’m trying to just take the advice of doing it very fast rather than the delay. What keeps happening is after the second launcher, the opponent goes too high I think.

Hmmm there’s no second launcher my man, the second launcher means you broke the loop (or this specific loop)…in that case ur doin a different set.

  • Launcher >> j.h (ADF) j.M,j.H.
    By that time u will be near landing, so all u have to do is RE jump into j.h and re input the loop [(ADF) j.M,j.H. ]…by means
    S,( j.h (ADF) j.M,j.H.)*
    ** the between Brackets is the loop…u only launch Once, second launch will be for the finisher to air knock down for either gravity Squeeze or Assists mix ups.

Because what seems to be happening is, if I launch, then do air h, dash air m, air h, land h, after I land I don’t have enough time to jump and do another air h. Obviously, I’m not understanding what I’m suppose to be doing, this is possible in the corner, right?

Yes, it breaks because of hit stun deterioration then they go into Air Recovery.
Yes, it is referred to M2’s ROM inf, however it is more of a loop because of hit stun deterioration. In M2, after a while, they dizzy.

For assist, I use Chun’s y assist type, and Sent’s a assist type. I use Sent’s drones to help stop ground rushing opponents (Wolvie, X-23, etc…) I use to use the bombs too…

I’ve been working for the past week w/out a break and haven’t touched M3 much lately, but I’ll be able to hit the lab tonight (fortunately)

Abuot the assists, i actual meant which type u guys Use for Magneto (Beta Gamma or alpha for magneto) :P…lol i just was find his solid assist type for my other chars use (specially for push and mix ups)

yoo. speaking of the loop. i just upped a video featuring a setup you can do after the fierce, adf, strong, fierce loop. not anything groundbreaking but something to think of.

oh man, i really like this combo. I’d rather do this than learn the Rom to be honest, unless the Rom is really that good.

Also, during XF, fly fierce = guaranteed kill on a lot of characters
