I’m about to start trying to learn/practice the whole Mag combo into jS, wesker gun pick up into a couple grav loop reps. I’m on pad so I’m unable to plink, which I was told was required, but then was told wasn’t required. So I was wondering if you guys recommend the normal sj addf H, sH xx L grav, the sj adf. MH, sHxx L grav, or something else entirely? Basically, on knockdown into gun pickup, what’s the EASIEST way to get into grav tempest dhc glitch to Wesker etc? Ill put in the work, but am looking directly to sacrifice damage for ease.
Just do the standard one. As long as you get used to buffering the super jump immediately after the Hyper Grav comes out, you should be able to do it fine.
How I learned it was:
Launcher jH addf jH sH xx Hyper Grav [buffer sj] addf [right when you see them flying up towards you in the sky due to Hyper Grav] jH sH xx Hyper Grav rinse and repeat.

Damn, still not able to get a Grav loop off a Wesker gun assist. No idea what I’m doing wrong, but it’s getting annoying. Anyone here play Mag w/ Wesker who might have an idea where a newb to the duo might be messing it up?
after the knockdown, call wesker then immediately do lp hyper grab and super jump.
That’s what I’ve been doing. Finally got the first rep tho, the key was using H grav. Wayyy easier. Still struggling on 2nd rep, but didn’t get much time to work on it. I’ll prob just use the adf MH version for the 2nd rep and be done w/ it, since I only need 2. All I care about is getting to the glitch. in fact, when Dante’s still alive, I can get him on 1 rep, but since he won’t always be alive, I don’t want to be lazy and just bank on that.
Do not use H hyper grab use L hyper grab. Make sure you are super jumping after every hyper grab lands. You’ll get at most 2-3 reps starting from the assist anyways.
Well it does have to be L for the other reps, but H works for the first.
L has to be for the other reps, I only mention L because once you get better at transitioning from combo to hyper grab loop in the corner, H won’t be needed anymore.
Eh, if H makes it so i can get from gunshot to loop w/ ease, there’s no reason not to use it. I just have to get down the 2nd rep now and I’m golden.
you can use either L or H after the pick-up, it doesn’t matter.
You can’t do the iad > MH after the pick-up with wesker if your combo before was too long. You need to do the 2 necessary reps of the regular HG loop to give wesker time to cooldown so you can DHC glitch. The first rep is the hardest to get down, but it helps if you neutral super jump.
Since you can use H grav, the first rep seems by far the easiest. I’m struggling on the 2nd one, but the first one I get almost every time w/ H grav <shrug>
oh, you’re probably super jumping too high, which means you’re doing them too slow. They need to be done pretty fast to get both reps, otherwise they pop out between the second sj.H and st.H
The usual point of failure is the end. The grav misses. The H’s connect usually, but often they fall just too soon to get caught by the grav. As I mentioned above, I think I’ll likely get it w/ the adf MH version on the 2nd rep.
That usually means you’re not super jumping or your addf H is too slow.
How many reps of Hyper Grav do you guys usually go for when you do the loop? I can do about 5-7 loops now hitting 32+ hits. Hitting this combo online with a pad feels SO GOOD. It feels like I’m defying the physics of this game. Even though I’ve only done it like twice so far.
Also I didn’t know Gravity Squeeze had any invincibility frames but I just countered a Genmu Zero with Gravity Squeeze on reaction.
No more than 3-4 online. Double that offline.
What’s more important than the number of reps is making sure you don’t drop that combo. ie. I will only use ONE rep before I dhc glitch ensuring that I get 1.2 mil damage with 2 meters. I could care less if someone did 12 reps and occasionally drops the combo.
