MvC3: You are Defeated: The Magneto Combo Thread

A couple things that might help you. On the first rep, try to hit the first j.H as low off the ground as possible. It’ll give you a better idea of the speed that you need to do j.H - dash DF - j.H after the first rep. Once you can consistently hit 2 reps you should have the button inputs squared away, just need to learn the timing for super jumping and going to neutral between reps. As Drew said it’s all practice, but once you’ve worked on it enough muscle memory takes over.

ive gotten a few reps online but i pretty much just gave up trying

eLive - Magneto DOOM DHC
some input and details about the Doom dhc and the combos from above.

Yeah, same here… I’ll just try to make some MvC 3 friends in my area to play offline

i tried putting combos i haven’t seen online

i’m new to magneto and don’t have time to read through the whole thread.
dunno if this was asked already, but which combos are the most practical to use in a match and does good damage?

Read the first post. Most practical and best damage are the ROM and fly fierce combos.

FYI these are the only two combos I learned.

Magblast loops are pretty good too and easy to input for the damage they can do. That and the fact that you can lead that into a ROM and then gravloop.

Oh beware of wooden guns.

if i cant do the ROM loop but i can do the fly fierce is that alright or should really try to do the ROM.I can can get the fly fierce loop just about all the time im just wondering if the ROM is really necassary

Can I Sj. Up Straight to perform ROM loop? Or only with Sj. Up Backwards? When I Sj. Up Back I sometimes have Hyper Grav instead Sj. H…

@m1tch: Yeah it’s possible to win without the rom loop, but you should at least try to learn how to do it since you can do the rom combo off of any random :c: in the air.

@Dc2K: Try this method if you haven’t:http://shoryuken.com/f370/you-defeated-magneto-combo-thread-265808/index29.html#post10584116

The magneto air dash loop…I’ve noticed I’m dropping after the 3rd fierce hit anyone got any suggestions? I also notice I drop that combo in general if I got the other player in the corner. Anyone got any knowledge on why? Any advice will be greatly appreciated!

I think that your main problem is that you’re not doing it fast enough because that combo works anywhere on the screen.

I figured that but even when I speed up the next input drops him. I think the character might not be in the air high enough. I been doing the easier version since I drop the other one so much.

Which one were you doing first?

This one:
j:h: adf j:m: j:h: qcb+:s: j:h: adf: j:h:

or

j:h: adf j:m: j:h qcb+:s: j:m: j:h: adf j:m: j:h:?

The first one is the one I’m dropping so the j.h adf j.h etc

I can do the other without a problem.

i have no problem doing magneto combos but the one thing i need help on doing unfly mid combo…thats one of the things i have problems doing

well, you can always end flight combos with airdash-df j.H > j.S “whiff”, land s.H instead of manually doing qcb+S unfly. if you’re low enough to the ground, you just instantly land when you cancel j.H to j.S
