That’s backwards. You super jump, *then *wait until you see the HG move up, *then *you ADDF:h:. You need to super jump ASAP…

The good thing is that you can input the super jump just before the Hyper Grav comes out. When you do this, you super jump on the first possible frame. That gives you the most time in between the Hyper grav and the first :h:. Waiting and then super jumping is counter-intuitive. Its also more difficult. The motion should be a litttle slower and smooth, and waiting during the beginning not only rushes the end (and can make the computer read inputs as something else), but its more difficult. You’d be surprised how easy the motion is when you speed up the jumping and focus on the Hyper Grav, and not Magneto. Watch the hyper grav. Do not ADDF until the Hyper grav moves and you will get it every time.

note-linking the j:h: with the st:h: is kind of awkward, too. It has to be done REALLY quickly in most cases…

I recently learnt the hyper grav loop and the key imo is to make sure you input the sj.ub when the hyper grav comes out. If you wait until it hits its too late. After that just wait for them to travel up w/ you a bit then addf+h.

Was pretty simple imo, now if i could do rom w/o getting hyper gravs when i input sj.ub+h :frowning:

I use air M to air H when staring off the rom, rather than just air H add, i find it easier this way.

So me and a friend were playing MvC3 at his house in a FT5 for 20 bucks and he tells me to go ham (Pretty said to not go easy on him) and pick my main team. He picks mag wesker and deadpool.

In the last match he did some shit to me where he caught me in the rom got a knock down, called otg samurai edge and then put me in the grav loop and just…ugh.

I hit 720K no super no assist in the corner. I need help with midscreen big dmg though besides H H loop.

Is there a way to combo into hyper grav midscreed? For the times when you are slighty to far to push them all the way to the corner.

Magneto by himself can’t do this you need specific assists to be able to make this possible. Sentinel can definitely make this happen and I believe an OTG assist will let you get H Hyper Grav from midscreen but I haven’t really tested this myself.

It is actually possible to hit the Grav with Mags himself, But it is pretty hard and character specific. It is performed by hitting standing H then immediately canceling to L Grav while under a character in an ongoing combo that doesn’t have much hitstun deterioration.

Having trouble learning this and moving on to the air dash loop from the fly…

i cant seem to get the timing for the H after i land. i always miss it.

Get that ROM down if you dont already. It takes you clear across the screen.

Ok I got the hyper grav loop down last night. Here is how I did it.

Must be in corner:
:d::l:, :d::m:, :d::h:, :s:, Sj, j.:h:, ADDF, j.:h:, (land), :h:, :qcb::l:, [SJ, :df::l:+:m:, j.:h:, (land), :h:] x N

After looking at this notation you should realise that for my ADDFs in the loop I use :df::l:+:m:. I figured out that after your super jump and air dash down forward you can hit :h: immediatly after the ADDF and it will come out.

I found out using turbo with my :h: button. Essentially I would do my super jump and ADDF and continue to hold :m:+:h: and it worked every time (remember my turbo is on and :h: is continuously being input).

My fingers just arent fast enough to hit :df::m:+:h:, :h: so i switched to doing :df::l:+:m:, :h: and I can do it nearly every time. If you can plink you can do this.

I bet this technique works well for the Ghetto Rom as well. It would look like this:

:d::l:, :d::m:, :d::h:, :s:, Sj, j.:h:, ADDF, j.:h:, [Sj (up-back), j.:h:, :df::l:+:m:, j.:h:] x N

If you cant hit that you should just play a different easier character :confused: thats like his mission mode combo. Replace magneto with ammy for easier ability.

Ok I ve been using the fly H dash H combo. Is the ghetto rom really the best combo to move a character to the corner? Or is their another combo thats just as good if not better at getting to the corner?

just got my first loop down online for Magneto…gotta head back to the mvc3 bible though, i have no “get-in-ability” or “keep-out-ability”, but i can pull off a decent combo.

Is there a trick to doing his hyper grav loop in the corner? After 2 hyper gravs, the opponent falls out too fast. Maybe I’m not fast enoguh?

That is exactly it! You’re doing it too slow. Hyper Grav L sj up back air dash downforward sj:h: s:h:. The key here is that you have to do the input for Hyper Grav L as soon as the second :h: hits or they’ll fall out and punish you.

Don’t come back here for a while until you can get the timing down. Worked for me and it’ll certainly work for you as well.
