I thought you couldn´t trijump with L in mvc3, but isn´t him doing it at 0:27?

Also what do you guys go for in most of your combos? Do you do the fly fierce combo or mostly go for rom? Yipes only does it here at the end, is rom that inconsistent to not go for it everytime?

For the Fly Fierce combo, which method is most effective / would you recommend using in executing that combo?

I’ve tried dashing with the joystick and (L+M)H. I can’t seem to consistently pull off the (L+M)H method. Something is obviously wrong with my timing. What do you guys think?

ur probably trying to do it too fast. do the L+M H method, and start by just practicing on the joystick like slowly, and tapping l+m H repeatedly in a rhythm. Once u get it down in teh rhythm speed it up a bit, then try going onto training and doing it.

As mentioned off a naked hyper grav the max reps you can get are 10-11 until they fall out. Damage isn’t is okay, but the meter it build even for a few reps is great.

is there any trick to consistently super jumping during the ROM? That is the hardest part for me, because I almost always get a normal jump back instead of a sj… I might be inputting the sj too early maybe.

What is the combo that Yipes and Marn use? It pretty much is a series of all H’s into S to shockwave or grav squeeze. I was going to learn to the bnb with the M or the one with repulsar blast but it is probably more damaging to do the wall of H’s. lol.

Correct, the game is dropping the down input only reading up.

Edit: That combo would be the fly fierce loop.

I just wanted to know if anyone use the MVC2 layout. I notice I have a few issues during combos. I accidently hit the exchange buttons a lot. But I remember Yipes saying that you have to be less heavy with the buttons because you will get extra inputs. The real issue I’m having is with the ROM (ub sj C addf C). I know that for the initial loop you will need to plink C~B~A while holding down/forward. I can see where the defaul layout is better for the plink, but I’m so use to the MVC2 style that I don’t think I can go to the defaul without WEEKs of retraining myself. Is there anyone who use the MVC2 layout who can do this, and what is your technique? My layout is:

Commands? <3 <3 I want to add Magneto to my team of Wolverine and Akuma and have the team be Wolverine, Magneto, Akuma in that order. All of them compliment eachother so nicely.

I can do the rom with H pretty easily and consistently, but different characters seem different. I just dash with LH and press H right away after the airdash (like a double tap).

okay, reading the first post, in his rules he states to include the damage from your combo. He then proceeds to list 15 combos and not include the damage in a single one of them. Seriously? How am I supposed to figure out which ones to do? I’m not going to sit here for hours on end practicing 15 combos.

I can connect the fierces two time, but the third fierce doesn’t come out. Would that be because I’m rushing? Magneto just dashes and the fierce doesn’t come out.

Fly Fierce:
Cr.H, S, J.H, adf, J.M, J.H, fly, J.M, J.H, [adf, J.H] x5 or x6, S

for adf press L+M.

As people have said the rhythm is hard at the start but try different timings. A trick that may help is looking at J.H (the fierce) and dash when the animation for that move starts to end as you can cancel the dash with a move but you cant cancel the moves animation into a dash.

Shit is weird because I do the fly fierce combo more consistently with the joystick instead of the buttons.

Trust me I tried practicing with the buttons(i’m on default layout) and it just doesn’t feel right in this game.

I recognized something about the fly fierce combo. I’m one of those audio/visual people so when I looked at my hands and tried doing it with the buttons it started to work. It’s like 1-2-1-2-1-2 hitting (on default Type B) H and j.L, j.M to dash almost immediately.

dunno why you guys add the j.m , j.h after the fly input , just do fierce x 7

better damage and just as easy , the less mediums the less it damage scales .

key to hitting all the fierces is activating fly as soon as you hit the first j.m , j.h and getting that first fierce after fly to hit them high up , after that you can get 7 fierces easily before your flight time ends

Shit that’s what I do. The only case I need to do the j.m j.h after fly is if i’m trying to keep the other dude up in the combo

So I am doing something as my BnB that uses no meter (I use mags to build meter for my more meter dependent second). I was curious if anyone has found/is using this combo. It ends up doing between 498k - 530k depending on what air normals are used in the last sections.

Combo:
:d::h:, :s:(launcher), :uf::h:, :d::d::h:, land, :uf::h:, :u::uf::f::m:, land, :s:(launcher), :uf::m::m::h:, :d::db::b::s:(fly), :l::m::m::h:, :f::f::m::m::h::d::df::f::l:

I have gotten a second air dash combo off after the fly, but the timing was so small on it I took it out of my bnb. If you have meter to burn you can do a :s: land :d::df::f::atk::atk: instead of the :d::df::f::l: to OTG then DHC into more (I tend to do this into Akuma’s beam/dante’s million if I have meter and they are near dead.

The main odd part in this combo is the :u::uf::f::m: that changes the combo a bit since it is an easy nice link to relaunch. You can do :u::uf::f::h: but it has a smaller window so :m: tends to work fine.
