MvC3: With great power comes great dexterity: combos and set ups

Thanks for this. Gonna see what I can do with this, it sounds really nasty. I’ve been doing the big Spidey combo into fly screen instead of MaxSpider, OTG, Crawler Assault then DHC to Iron Man for about 850k. I’ll probably still be using that when I have the bar and want to Xfactor Proton Cannon again for a kill on someone like Sent or a level 3-somebody that I couldn’t kill otherwise, but yours sounds ridiculous. I’ll guess I just have to watch out for Hard Drive. Do you know if it beats Maximum Wesker?

In any case, Spider-Man is a friggin monster in the corner. And in general too. Great find.

Hi all! Finally got around to Spider-Man (for real this time… not just 1 combo!). You guys probably know all this stuff already, but since I’m trying to do combos for everyone, I had to give Spider-Man a look! My favorites are the No-Launch BNB ("Mary Jane’s Favorite!) and the Anti-Sentinel (“Bad Robot!”). The others are just misc stuff… the basics being for the SRK Hyper Guide!

This has potential, especially with the new combos Trag just posted. Specifically this one…

Carries them a long ways across the screen and ends with a Spider sting to set the whole thing up. At the point of the reset you would have tacked on at least 500,000. With a successful reset and full combo that would be a guaranteed kill on anyone. Would require some testing to find out the opponents options. Gonna be messing around with this next week for sure.

Yeah, that was my idea. It’s technically a reset after a long combo to the corner.

Combo 03 doesn’t work on Cpt. America crouching and probably won’t work on smaller characters. I will stick to a more universal BnB. The Sent and Zip dash definitely have their uses however, thanks!

After testing that setup out, your opponent can forward roll out. Not sure if it will have much use once it becomes wide spread. Hold forward, mash, and you’re out.

Ah, crap. I didn’t know you can roll out of stuff like that. I’m a total marvel failure. Maybe it will work on some noobs haha

I’m having trouble with landing Trag’s “Mary Jane’s Favorite” combo. I usually practice combos on larger characters and gradually work my way to smaller ones to improve my timing. I was trying the combo on She-Hulk and I wasn’t able to do it. The j.H, j.S after the first Web-Swing (H) just do not come out. Is my timing wrong? Does it just not work on her?

Imo that combo isn’t worth the trouble. Doesn’t work on crouching Capt. America and I doubt it will on smaller characters. I’m just sticking with magic series, Spiderbite/sting, 5c, M.webswing, j.M, j.M, j.S, 5m, S, etc…

The only combo outta the ones he posted I’m gonna bother with is the Sent combo.

dumb question but at what part does the combo whiff on a crouching cap

If I remember right it’s the webswings, maybe.

Good Stuff Trag and iNerd18! I’m really liking this combo. I’m at work atm, but I can imagine you can combo that web throw at the end into assist (Doom Missile).:amazed:

iokain i had the webswing connect on a standing zero, i just had probs w connecting the s.m after j.s. i not amazing at marvel so maybe ud know better than me but shouldnt it work on cap if it works on zero? i really am trying to get that combo down because it saves my spider sting till the end of the combo. since i use an otg assist i can replace the spider sting with s into j.m,j.m,j.h,j.s, otg spider sting ms

Yeah that’s the exact combo I’ve been using in all my matches so perhaps I’ll stick with this.

Also that Crawler Assault application is AMAZING. Got 3 super punishers on my team now :slight_smile:
Oh also iNerd, that guy who rage quit on you in the video added me on Live like… a week ago. I saw his name at the start of the video and was like “Oh hey it’s that guy I don’t know!”

I honestly can’t remember the details. I just noticed right away that it wouldn’t work on crouching Capt. America, so I made the assumption about the smaller characters. I never actually tried it on Zero, Vjoe, etc…

Hey, guys, not sure if you’ve already discovered this, but UWT has DHC follow-ups.
The only ones I’ve found are with the Taskmaster’s Arrow Hyper and Storm’s Ice bullshit.

Sorry for piss poor quality, but I’m too lazy to bust out my Pinnacle or my video camera.
When done right, Taskmaster’s DHC will do about 530k-ish, and Storm’s always does 570k-ish.

Here is a reset i found while playing around in training. Its probably already known but i thought i would post it up anyway. Catches front and back tech, but can probably be mashed out of.

Hey fellow Spidey/Doom teams, if you are in the corner you can get some nasty damage with UWT. So over the top if you are getting a reset after a combo, yet so brutal. Setup I’m using with Doom plasma beam assist is…

Magic series, :h:.Spidersting/bite, :h:+:a1:, :m:.Webswing, Plasma hits, :m:.Webball, land, UWT, DHC w/ Doom photon Array, XFC, :h:, :s:, j.:m:, j.:m:, :f:+:h:. j.:s:, :d:+:atk::atk:, :h:, Doom Level 3 or sphere flame.

Soooooooo nasty, after the UWT reset it does 1,740,000 dmg w/ Doom lvl 3, just wanted to know how much it would do, lol. Over the top I know, especially if you reset after a combo. But if you need to be absolutely, positively sure, and without a doubt they aren’t gonna get up. Here ya go…
