You can probably do some UWT resets from comboing into a second web-ball.

i should be noted that this only works on standing opponents if your opponent is crouching the first webswing can be blocked. SO if crouching just go straight into spidersting-bite, you lose damage but you can do the rest of the combo.
been using this a BnB. haven’t seen it posted. Works on everyone except arthur/joe/ammy.

I like it because even if you screw up the webzip link in the middle, it just turns into a high/low mixup, and they’re still in blockstun so you don’t have to worry about eating an assist call.
i came up with a very basic UWT reset the other day, and im pretty sure it would be near inescapeable as the UWT hits just before they hit the ground.
basically after a launch ,
,:h:xx:m:web ball, land, UWT
ive seen everyone post about comboing llight web ball but you can combo medium too, you just wait until you are level with your opp in the air before starting the other commands (slightly before they reset).
i was also playing with a few reset gimmicks from that too, instead of UWT just call an assist after you land then dash under them to the other side so they land in the middle of you and your assist.
all of these UWT throw setups can be dodged FYI. If you tech forward on all these setups, they don’t work. Thats the problem with UWT setups.
Haven’t tried this yet but I was thinking about using UWT for AA scenarios. Like if magneto\storm burn their air dash and fall shallow. You can do drones, UWT and make it safe.
If someone can find setups where tech flipping fwd\bck won’t be a problem, UWT will become applicable.n Until then using it after a reset is kinda risky. If you can get your combo around 600-700,000 pts before UWT, you will kill a character. I can’t get that quite high yet. The most I got solo is like 450.
you can’t tech forward if you hit with a web ball, hence why it’s in all the UWT setups… It’s only guaranteed if your opponent doesn’t have a double jump or fly, but even then the shit happens so fast it’ll catch most of them once a match at least.
This combo doesn’t work if they crouch during hitstun, the webzip will miss.

So my combo is 405,000 life then UWT which make it a 605,000 life combo unless there is damage scaling on your last 50% life. Not sure about that.
When you combo into maximum spider, I’m getting about 585,000 for my longest one. So its only 30,000 points less which is less than a jab. Its important to mention that the UWT throw setup is pretty tight and a basic one is only doing slightly less than an easier combo.
shoultz that kamui combo does 622 but im doing it exactly like the vid but everytime i cancel the air web swing into maximum spider they flip out all the time. im not understanding how thats possible. web balls can be teched out forward ive had it happen to me a few times so im not understanding where thats coming from. i have two setups using dooms rocks as an assist looking for more. comboing into web zip in the air can send them higher allowing you more time to react to how they flip.
ahhh ok, well I’m not too far off from the max damage possible then. As of now, it looks like spidey’s max combo solo is gonna be in the 450-500,000 range.
As for the tech hit thing, I set the opponent to tech flip forward and couldn’t get the tech flip to happen. Maybe on the 2nd combo-ed web ball, they’re allowed to tech flip?
ultimate web throw does 300k damage so that would push your uwt set up to 705k hp which is about 125k more.

please re-read what i said. It’s escapable if they have a double jump or fly mode. so say my character has a double jump. I get hit with air web ball i can’t tech in any direction, BUT i can use my second jump to jump forward. Please at least watch the video in the spider-man section of the wiki. It covers all the basic stuff you seem to not understand…

there seems to be angles where spidey is @ the optimal range to UWT even against an opponent that double jumps. It seems like if you timed the height properly. A regular tech hit = uwt and a double jump should also equal a uwt. Its a guess though currently.
I can’t test that right now though but someone else could.
My bnb is a modified version of the guide combo. Does 612 and works on everyone, and can cancel the mid section to a UWT reset if I feel like the opponent isn’t gonna avoid it.
my future bnb is the doom assist 837k combo. Not getting consistently enough to do in a match yet. Working on it.
What do you guys do in the corner? The Kamui combo (or a modified version of it) doesn’t seem to work for me there; the last web-swing doesn’t combo into Maximum Spider. I’ve been canceling the last st.H into Spider Sting xx Maximum Spider instead of going into launcher like I would mid screen.
ryu doesnt have a double jump or a fly mode so you explain that to me
shoultz i tested out web ball before i posted and i know the cpu doesnt flip but unless i was deceived i saw ryu out but i cant remember if i used two web balls or not. even if i did they land before uwt comes out to catch them anyhow.
after web ball if they land before your UWT came out you were doing it too slow.
which guide combo are you referring to? I’m currently trying to figure out how to land maximum spider off this combo but they keep freaking teching after my web swing.
cr.l cr.m cr.h spidersting-bite launcher a.m a.m a.h. a.s (OTG pickup katana-rama) launcher a.m a.m a.h webswing(m seems to hit h they tech before) and then if that lands maximum spider misses due to them teching.
any input as to how i can make it work? Thanks in advance.
it wont grab after the second web ball the moment you land they are already flipping close to the ground. the second web ball pretty much ends the combo.
well that’s the problem you are doing too many web balls XD
