MvC3 will play like tvc!

F**k yeah!!

Care to elaborate + link to the source?

it’s on eventhubs.com they have a couple of character reveals too.

Oh my god…I bought a Wii for nothing. Its like Capcom wants TvC to die.

Don’t see why this is such a big thing with the OP. It’s not like TVC is the most exciting VS. game to play. I just prefer to play it over MVC2 because it’s more balanced. Still, I wish the OP would stop trolling about this subject (especially over in the MVC3 forum) because he’s making all of us tvc players seem like noobs who can’t handle MVC2…or at least he’s making me look that way.

One thing’s for sure, if you think the “announcement” means TVC is gonna play mostly like MVC3, you’re mistaken. Just because they’ll share a similar control scheme doesn’t mean they’ll play the same way. MVC3 will be much faster, and timing on combos will be much more strict then tvc due to the speed. If you’re not used to the nature of MVC2, you won’t get very far with MVC3. Also, expect chronic brokenness to reappear in a new form.

It won’t be long until some players who are too used to the pacing of tvc will reach a stub in their skill level in MVC3. When that happens, they’ll either improve, or probably come back to this game instead, except no one will be playing it, at least not seriously.

So yeah OP, I wouldn’t jump the gun with this pointless thread just yet. We should wait until we see the game in action before assuming our tvc skills will win the day in the new Marvel.

I agree with M.D.

Personally I would have preferred if MvC3 had its own unique control scheme and honestly I dont feel that TvC’s control scheme wont lend well to the precision and speed that they’re aiming for.

Also Xtreme, why do you feel such a need to be a antagonistic troll?

I’m all for a more simplified control scheme, but in any case we have no way of telling what the hell the game plays like. I’m sure having experience with TvC will make it easier to adjust to MvC3, but that’s only the beginning. MvC3, just like TvC, MvC2, and the other VS. fighting games are their own type of game. Things will definitely change up in the following months/years after MvC3 gets released.

But until then… lets just wait it out until we got a good number of people to try out the game (I’m hoping for E3 or EVO)

OP is mistaken; the game probably won’t play like TVC and it definitely won’t be a TVC 2 with Marvel characters. The game is however simply following design philosophies laid out by it’s predecessor such as ease of control.

Other games like Melty Blood have similar control schemes to TVC (3 attack buttons for example) and relatively easy to perform super moves but that game don’t exactly -play- like TVC now do they?

MVC3 won’t be replacing TVC.

mm… agre in almost everything

but i think mvc3 will kill tvc, but we’ll see…

MVC3 will kill TVC only if you and other members of the TVC scene allow it.
