/sigh
I could always ask, although I doubt he wants to spend his free time testing stuff for a character he doesn’t play lol. What were your ideas to check out?
Oh also, he said her super armor does carry over to assists, I dunno if that was confirmed or not.
Just basic move properties, I wouldn’t ask someone to sit and drill combos or whatever.
-Do :d::l: or :d: hit low?
-Can you block high after the superfreeze against Tenraiha (spikeball hyper)? Does it even hit overhead at all? While I’m at it, might as well see if Chireitou (swords from the ground) hits low, though I doubt it.
-What is her Anki Hou (item throw) assist? It has three versions, low arc, medium arc, and very high vertical arc. If it’s the vertical version, does it hit overhead?
That’s about all, I can try the rest when the time comes.
I’d also like to add to the list:
Aside from the initial hit of Tenraiha hitting overhead, if the weight whiffs, does it do a low hitting quake like in VS?
Did we confirm what the motion was for Tenraiha?
Alright I asked the questions, we’ll see if he answers. He’s a game tester like myself though meaning he has no free time, so he might not get a chance to find out today lol.
Edit: doesn’t seem right but he said she has a double air dash? That’s interesting if it’s true but she only had one in VS so why would she have two here? Take that with a grain of salt, but it is what he said.
Also apparently you can cancel her forward dash into her backdash, so she has decent movement options.
Actually, I thought she could air dash twice in previous DS game or maybe if you do it high enough you can do another one while descending?
I think she can airdash, cancel into pendulum, the airdash again. I think. I know at the very least you can pendulum off the airdash, which means she’ll have excellent options for closing gaps if the need arises.
Yeah couldn’t you jump, pendulum up, cancel as you go up to retain the momentum, air dash at the top of the screen and then pendulum again off screen? I used to do something like that to stall matches out lol
Anyone have the link to the stream yesterday. I want to check out her assist for myself
I’m not sure pendulum actually grants momentum now. Sure as hell hoping it does!
Considering other moves in MvC3, I’m guessing if you cancel pendulum you do it with :s: now.
Oh yeah. Command list might help. Did the input on her gong or command grab change?
The stream from yesterday didn’t have her assist in it, only pictures of the names on the char select screen. He never switched out Hsien-ko before she died so she never used assists, IIRC.
The one that did was a stream run by Niitsuma, the producer, and as far as I know it wasn’t recorded.
Sup guys im Sam X friend. I got the game yesterday and have been playing it with my free time (which is none really). I will try and help you guys out when I have time to sit down, feel free to ask questions if you like. Im a old fighting game player so I know notation and all that crap, so throw the questions you got at me.
MVC3 launch day :
open game>install game>options menu>difficulty :lowest > round time :30 secs
We’ve seen pendulum canceled with motion and also with normal attacks.
Unnecessary. The computer is ridiculously easy and the boss is a pushover. Might as well get your practice in.
I was somewhat disappointed to see how easy he was in comparison to the first time I fought the MvC2 last boss.
Anyway, I honestly didn’t look to closely but did anyone see how her Gong reacted to beams?
I’m going to summarize some of the previous questions as well as a few of my own.
Sorry, I know these are a lot of questions and some of them are pretty detailed. If you can’t get to them all don’t worry about it.
We know most of the cancel rules, as they’re essentially generalized. The only unusual thing so far is the f.C xx gong cancel, most people can’t special cancel command normals (unless it changed by the final build).
Educated guess versions:
