Yeah that tournament had some lame shit going on in it.
Good call on EVO for having the balls to give Justin a yellow card and not look the other way because he is a ‘favored player’ so to speak.
I might have believed Justin (though even he can’t play that bad regardless of the character chosen) but putting Phoenix on point twice… gtfo with that nonsense.
Well, tournament rules were that once you pick a team you can’t change it unless you lose a game, and he won the first game. Which in and of itself makes it lol-worthy. But yeah, he had no choice but to continue using Phoenix after winning the first game.
Meh it’s not like anything happened to Justin as the result of the yellow card. It’s was just the wrong decision in the wrong place shit happens. I could see if it affected his seeding at Evo or something but they said they’re not even touching that. He’s an upstanding guy so the last thing he would do is anything that would get him a red card any way. Evo just trying to push rules.
Shout outs to P. Gorath. Very consistent placings at WNF (Top 8 for 6 weeks straight).

To be honest, the fact he clearly did not know how to play Skrull was what confirmed that he was clearly sandbagging. Putting Phoenix on point is one thing, but playing a character you don’t even know simple inputs to is another.
