MvC3: "She only resembles your mother" The Trish Thread

No, I mean you can cancel jump C into down C in the air (without landing), and cancel that into Low Voltage, into Maximum Voltage. I just don’t bother with her double jump. It is tricky (for me anyway) on some characters.

After checking out the Hyper Guide’s walk-through on Chris I’ve become very excited for Chris/Trish. It seems that with Chris on point, Trish will be sitting on a lot of meter to abuse her Round Harvest for some crunchy chip.

How good is their DHC synergy though?

They have surpisingly great chemistry.
You can DHC off Sweep Combo into Maximum Voltage anywhere on screen, and you can combo into Round Harvest in the corner (you will have full eternity to set up traps). Grenade Launcher aslo DHC’s into Maximum Voltage at mid screen well (less damage in the corner). And Maximum Voltage is actually one of the best hypers for Chris as it is a rare case of a projectile hyper that doesn’t knock down (Grenade Launcher can connect fullscreen). Air Maximum Voltage as a juggle however, is a different story, can’t DHC into anything Chris has :sad:. So if you want to DHC off Air Max Voltage use it against grounded opponent.

there’s this corner combo with trish that has potential to be an infinite

launch > somethingsomethingsomething (this is very important, the opponent must be at a perfect place in the air) > C xx qcb A > S qcb A > land, launch > repeat

I haven’t landed and launched yet, but I’m throwing the idea out there. somebody try and work with this.

There are no infinites in this game due to hit decay, I think.

How does Trish get in on keep away characters? Bit of a shame that she can be pushblocked during round harvest.

yeah same here, there’s something tricky with her double jumps so I just do the C, d+C, low voltage
but then again I have really bad execution so…

Well Trish has her own projectile depending on who you are playing. She can also super jump air dash. You can also Double jump and go into flight mode. You can also use an assist to help you get in. Round Harvest starts up slow but can kinda help you close the gap to some degree.

If you get Round Harvest pushblocked (and you will considering how easy it is to do in this game) then you should either spam high voltage H or DHC out of it into another Hyper. I often choose to DHC out of it since the partner that comes in will not get affect by an opponent pushblocking. I found that DHC’ing from Round Harvest into X-23’s Silent kill is very nice, if you have the meter that is.

PS: Trish is amazing. I’m maining her for sure, although I still need to find a good team.

i’m loving trish in this game… 8 way dash, good projectile and traps make her so versatile.

What’s the trick to the double jump in mission #7? I double jump, but storm just falls. I don’t get it.

Usually when they block my round harvest I use Maximum Voltage so even though they push block me they are still getting chipped to hell :slight_smile:

how r u guys playing trish…what kind of style suits her best…i currently playng her as she were storm just run setting ground traps for antiair…since my 2nd is phnix im using her trap assist to play keep away…soo by the time trish has handled business i have 5 lvls 4 phinx…dooms molecular shield has been coming thrue as if it were mvc2 assist… i still havent found eny hardcore combs yet…other than her bnb

Yeah what is her BnB? I get 6-7 hits on ground -> launch -> Then I’m lost…

Overall I think she’s my favorite character in the game. A little more health would be nice but oh well…

Also, Trish’s walk has to be the greatest thing mankind has ever created. So damn sexy.

I do either :d:+:l:, :m:, :h:, :s:, :m:, :m:, :h:, :d:+:h:, Low Voltage (into Maximum Voltage closer to the corner) or go for jump :s: if I have an OTG assist. I really need to get that Hopscotch>land relaunch combo down :shake:.

P.S. Agree about her walk :lovin:.

I’m not going to lie, I still can’t seem to double jump cancel to keep the combo going.

As far as how I play Trish, I can say that it depends on who I’m facing; if I’m facing a rushdown character then I make their life hell with Hopscotch and Peek-a-bo, once they open themselves up I catch them off guard with :d::m: and then hilarity ensures; if I’m fighting a keepaway then I’ll play rushdown. Really, Trish is insanely versatile, her playstyle can bend to whatever it is you need.

Oh and I agree about the walk. Trish is the single sexiest thing in MvC3. It’s quite a nice perk to those that main her. I mean, have you seen her animation after she’s done her Maximum Voltage?

PS: Have you guys been able to do anything with her flight mode, combo wise?
