**UPDATED again this time with SNK producer expressing interest in Capcom vs SNK 3 and SNK vs Capcom: Chaos
*uPDATED bottom of first post with more links on Ryota Niitsuma and Ono mentioning CvS3 and CvS2 **
Ok i recently saw this news story about MvC 3 and it included some comments from Capcom official Ryota Niitsuma about a possible Capcom vs SNK 3 (CvS3) game. :woot:
(He even signed a CvS2 copy)
The news story is in French, but I used Google translator to translate the parts where CvS 3 is mentioned.
French to English translation
"According Ryoto Niitsuma, Capcom vs. SNK 3 will only develop if there is a significant number of requests from fans"
"Among all this good news ****(some tidbits about MvC3), the best news is probably possible to come from Capcom vs SNK 3."**
You can verify the translations yourself.
So there you have it again, yet one more Capcom official like the story that ran a year or so ago from another Capcom official, we have to keep asking about Capcom Vs. SNK 3 and get others to ask for it too if we want to see it happen.
CAPCOM: WE WANT CAPCOM VS SNK 3!!
*UPDATED with more links of Niitsuma mentioning CvS3 or MvCvS
"Then, before I leave, since everybody is always telling you on Twitter or wherever else what they want from you and Capcom⌠I want Capcom vs. SNK 3."
Ono: Ahhhh. [laughs] I wasnât necessarily sold on that idea until I played The King of Fighters XIII. Iâm actually really impressed with it, and think they did a great job with it. So, you know, Iâm open to the idea, at least more than I was before."
âOkay, last question. SNK vs. Capcom 3. Whenâs it happening?â
Ono: I hear requests for that all the time. In fact literally, every day on Twitter, literally several times a day, so I know itâs something on the fanâs minds.
Honestly, from my point of view, but the time we got to Capcom vs. SNK 2, they did pretty much everything they could do with that game Thatâs a really well polished game. I donât think that we could top it. I think if we were to do a three, we would have to do something different and take it in a new direction because I wouldnât want to compete with two since it was so darn good.
But a lot has changed with SNK side as well. Itâs a different company now than it was then. We had a lot of connections back then, we were really friendly with one another. But frankly, I donât know a lot of people there right now.
Things have changed so much, so there could be a bit of a hurdle getting something down there, just making these business connections again first. But you know, who knows. I canât say one way or another whether something like that can be done.
But I can say that it would probably be different, and it would start with a lot of negotiations and just getting to know these guys again because itâs a lot of people weâre not familiar with."

Following are excerpts and links of SNK higher ups showing considerable interest in sequels to CvS2 and SvC:
"Playstation Blog: We still miss SVC Chaos and Capcom vs SNK titles. Do you think we can see a new crossover with characters from both companies again?
Yamamoto: Crossover games not only provide excitement to fans, but to us developers as well, so Iâm hoping we could do it again someday. In order to make that a reality, weâll continue to do our best and make KOF bigger and better.ââ
"7. SPEKSNK.org: Crossovers are hot right now. Can we expect any with SNK PLAYMORE characters on it? Iâm certain fighting games community wait anxiously for a new game crossing Capcom and SNKâŚ
**KY:**As this is something very valuable and stimulating for us as well as the fans, I sincerely hope we will have the opportunity to participate in the development of a collaboration title sometime in the future.
Therefore, I will continue to promote âKOFâ so that this dream comes true."

"SNK-Capcom.com: Besides SNK fans, CAPCOM fans have also been dying for a sequel to âSNK vs CAPCOMâ. Do you have any plans to make a sequel to this game?
SNKP: We are sorry, but we canât answer to this question. However, we know that this game is highly appreciated among fans, and that theyâre waiting for a sequel. There are also many âSNK vs CAPCOMâ fans at SNK PLAYMORE, and we also hear from people who want us to work in collaboration with other game companies as well. It is not impossible to see a sequel to âSNK vs CAPCOMâ one day if fan requests keep getting bigger."
