anyways, maybe this is old, maybe it’s not. I recently learned I could do a Team Hyper directly out of rolling buckler no follow-up. so far I see no use for this, especially late into a combo, except for wasting meter on a hypersuch as ammys that will keep the opponent help in place while felicia hyper whiffs on purpose to keep up an assault. you folk have any ideas as to how this could be made useful?
I’ve been working on a Trish/Felicia/??? team recently and despite what was posted here earlier, I have to say that you CAN set up an unblockable using Round Harvest xx Kitty Helper extremely easily.
There is small but easily learned window to execute the DHC from Round Harvest and, best of all, it doesn’t require any special spacing from Trish as the DHC will bring Felicia in far back enough to prevent being crossed up by a roll.
The setup is IMO more vulnerable to late CCs than the more conventional Trish/Wesker setup is and can also be “escaped” via wake-up Hard Tag/invincible hypers like the other setup can be. Luckily, Felicia can confirm into moderate damage from the hard tag escape and block/jump a wake up hyper on reaction.
As far as against aerial opponents…nothing is really guaranteed except the chip damage from the hyper. Honestly, you should only attempt to use it if you can confirm the unblockable setup from a corner hard knockdown.
I have been looking at Felicia for a possible lead to my team.
Right now I have been deeply looking into the X/Dante/Frank shell. I have considered a few characters for the point.
Things I have looked at were install supers, ability to level Frank, and good assists. From what I can see with Felicia, she brings to the table a low assist (for Frank chainsaw silliness and Dante grapple resets) as well as the install super (kitty helper) for multiple snapshots with Frank. I can also see her being a decent battery, and if it comes down to just her and Frank she can easily set up a shopping cart DHC where I can just blow my X-factor for level 4+
For that matter, can you do a DHC glitch off of any of Felicia’s Hypers?
Felicia’s most reliable way to level up Frank is a Kitty Helper DHC > tag out after a Frank Snapshot xx Super. To be honest, by putting her on point I think you lose the threat of getting an immediate level 4/5 Frank off the first touch.
Well I did just find something interesting. Do a standard Felicia BNB combo and end with Rolling Flash Hyper. From there you can DHC to Dante Devil Trigger and do Cold Shower to Stinger 2 (bold cancel) into Sky Dance and hard tag Frank. Easy level 4 right there. It also puts Felicia in position 2 to do level up loops with Frank. You just have to DHC as soon as the kick hits in the hyper (before the uppercut).
You can also get 2 ground bounces for Frank using felicia rolling buckler, if you didn’t know.
After Frank does super jump H.S, you can call felicia and do air 236H. Felicia will negate that ground bounce if you hit it right, which isn’t too hard after a very small amount of trying it. Do it early on, and Frank can get 1 jump loop afterwards before a relaunch.
What assists are you using? Personally, I figure if you like the characters, just go for it. I tried making Storm work for Felicia but I don’t see how Storm helps Felicia assist wise. I don’t think Felicia can confirm off of whirlwind as well as off of other projectile assists. I think Akuma tatsu will do well to negate any negative frames Felicia puts herself in, and should be a decent lockdown so she can open up the opponent.
I think the Storm Felicia team hyper is sufficient when you have your opponent cornered. Midscreen, storm pushes you away from Felicia. I think Felicia can do her Dancing Flash into Hail Storm, which hopefully storm can followup with a launch or another of her other hypers. That’s about all I think of the 2 of them having in terms of compatibility, but I’m not really invested in storm, so there may be more tricks out there.
I use Felix as a battery, I zone with whirlwind assist and sand splash and try to push my opponent towards the corner if they want to play the ground game. I do tend to get zoned/lamed out with Felix a decent amount but if I can time a delta kick correctly, I get a full combo… and I usually DHC Felicia out and let Storm run away until I can either punish an assist with hail storm or get a hit confirm and DHC back into Kitty Helper. DHC’ing her OUT gets me more damage and DHC’ing her IN gets me some easy momentum with Kitty Helper.
If I have them blocking in the corner I try to safely call Akuma tatsu assist to lock them down and go for a throw mixup [i wish she had overhead]. As far as confirming with Storm’s whirlwind assist…it can be done. If whirlwind hits, then you dash forward and do rolling buckler M, M to continue the combo. Akuma’s tatsu assist is pretty easy to convert from mid screen just by dashing forward twice and then launching.
As I’ve played this team I’ve rarely used the XF3 Kitty Helper and went crazy but I could still possibly use that.
Seems you have things figured out for your team. I like the sound of how you are using them as a team. I’m not sure if you do it or not, but in one of these sub threads I think the video thread, there’s a video that showcase Felicia’s power when DHCing in with Kitty Helper and executing unblockables. Basically, make the opponent block against hail storm, DHC to Felicia Kitty Helper, and unblockable or go nuts.
Ok now I’m discovering some cool DHC technology with Felicia and Spencer and vice versa. Who is a third character to put at the end, a decent x-factor character that has a beam assist. I was thinking possibly Iron Man? Time to hit the lab.
Also interested in dhc tech. I’m a weirdo, but I love Modok beam as an assist for Felicia. Since his beam causes a soft knockdown, I believe, Felicia can confirm off of many different things. Cross under falling opponent. Cat & Mouse with Modok kind of out of sight. Rolling Buckler. Delta Kick being made slightly safer. If only I could use Modok…
Well I need to take it a little further but she definitely gets a combo after a bionic arm if you DHC into Kitty Helper. Not sure how much the HSD effects what you can do though.
Edit: Well so far off a raw BA DHC into kitty helper I could get 909k.
