WTF THAT’S MY TEAM BUT BLUER.
I’ve been using a Felicia/Nemesis/Dormammu team but I’m not sure how this helps her. I think I can use Dorm’s hole assist to help her extend combos and Nemesis slam assist as an OTG.
I’m mainly having trouble remembering how to do combos… my old MVC3 habit tells me to go for toy touch OTG after an air series but I know that’s wrong. When should I be doing toytouch? After a grab I suppose?
Also whenever I try to OTG sand splash into hyper I get kitty helper instead of dancing flash. How should I be doing this? Is there an input trick you guys can help me out with?
Just try landing a basic ABC combo to get started with a hit confirm off of a cr.L. and then ABC your way through combos. (Just like Wesker)
But for real, if you need to be accustomed to her advanced BnBs, get a hit confirm off of Rolling Buckler Slide and then st.:l::df: j.:h::s: land :s: :h: :rdp::h:: land :s: :h::s: (charge back after :s: ), :f: :h: xx hyper. Also do :df: j.:h::s: after a Hellcat grab or a normal grab/air grab.
For assists, Dark Hole is good for blockstun and extending combos. You can time Dark Hole properly with Toy Touch as long as you delay the assist and time the OTG right when the hole appears. Same can be done with Sand Splash, but that would be more likely in the corner.
For Nemesis, I would try Clothesline instead of Launcher Slam since Felicia lacks wall-bounce moves. Sand Splash+Clothesline=Wall bounce and time for a re-launch. Since Clothesline does a punch AND a rocket afterwards, use Cat Crawl for mix-ups (won’t work against short characters though)
EDIT: Also, :dp: hypers coming out instead of :qcf: hypers happens, but they way I differ them is by jump cancelling the :qcf: motion so it’s like :qcf::uf:.

Might be of use to anyone starting out with Felicia/Dante/Sentinel. Couple of concepts on ways to use Jam Session and Drones as combo extenders for Felicia.
Yeah I’m the one that requested combos for that vid. Thanks for making it, really really helpful. The Sentinel command grab setup is the most insane thing I’ve ever seen. I can do like 1M damage off of that setup with PHM. SO GOOD.
What’s the timing of the midscreen combo with Sentinel assist? It seems like there’s not enough time for the drones to hit them while they fall. I tried to delay it as much as I can too. It works all the time in the corner though.
The damage you can get off of Sent’s throw with Felicia is pretty sick.
When you [(land), command dash + drones] after the divekick, you have to delay the input for:d::h::s: as well as the input for sj:h::s:. There are other, more reliable ways to use the drones as combo extenders, too. I think that setup is one of the more damaging options, though.
Yay now I can use Jam Session for my Dante/Frank/Felicia team again. :3
Maybe switching to felicia rolling buckler assist would help with self otg task, going to test it out tonight.
Hello Felicia players! I never really played this character in vanilla but with her crazy amount of buffs in Ultimate I’m thinking of picking her up as a possible anchor for my team. My best character right now is Viewtiful Joe, and I’d like to keep him on the team. I also play some Sentinel and some Morrigan, a pretty bad Doom, as well as a pocket Wesker in case I need dat cheapness. Do you guys have any suggestions on a good order & assist combination for a team utilizing Joe/sent(or morr)/felicia? would point morrigan possibly work? does felicia work better at the mid position giving me anchor morrigan? Should I just use sent drones? Any advice or suggestions are greatly appreciated.
Felicia loves drones so you could probably run V.Joe/Felicia/Sent without much problem. Once you get used to her in xf3 she’s an absolute monster on anchor so you could run all sorts of team setups. Her OTG is great if you run anyone that can benefit from that and Rolling Buckler sets up decent hi/low hard-to-blockables. Just go to town and find something you like.
Im thinking about running that same Sent/Felicia team except switching out Dante for Doom what do you think, also what other characters do you think would also be a good replacement for Dante other than Vergil? What are the benefits of using Felicia as Anchor vs Felicia on point? I’m still unsure on what would be a good order for the team.
Felicia can run anywhere on a team. She makes a great battery since she can run mixups all day, as a meter-user, she can combo into PHM for a good chunk of damage or use it as a full screen counter into a full combo and Kitty Helper is pretty much free control of the match for the length of the super. She works really well on anchor since she is so fast in XF3 and she can combo off of almost every throw and sets up her own unblockables with Kitty Helper and she has practical ToDs in level 3 as well. Not to mention her assists are pretty useful in certain situations.
I would say Doom Missiles would probably be your best bet in a team of Felicia/Doom/Sent since Sent is covering the horizontal for you and missiles would cover Felicia’s blind spot and help lock down your opponent for easy command grabs. I don’t play a whole lot of Sent. but I would guess that Doom would get more from some extra horizontal pressure than Sent. would get from missiles.
I’m somewhat biased but I like Felicia and Frank. The lockdown from cart leads to some really rediculous shenanigans with cross-ups and command grabs and help her get in/stay in. The only downside is I haven’t found a strong (non-TAC) option to level up frank from Felicia, but Frank can use her kitty helper for power up loops and his air attacks are strong enough to use for hi/low setups. As long as your 3rd member can reliably level up Frank it’s a really solid team.
Alright, time for a long-ass post from yours truly:
The way I see Felicia now is that she can work well with almost anybody. A lot of people prefer to having her on point or anchor, but even still second slot still works for her. The benefits from using her are:

[]Kitty Helper helps Felicia with lockdown and even some unblockable setups with Slide/Hellcat (command grab)
[]Her Buckler Slide assist can really help setting up unblockables with characters that have a high teleport/tri-dash (Dante/Vergil/Doom/Wesker/etc.)
[]She is really short and can crouch against certain projectiles to avoid getting chipped (against full-screen Drones and Plasma Beam and maybe even Disruptor)
[]Her speed is one of the fastest in the game
[]HERP DERP AIR DELTA KICK PLUS ON BLOCK AND GROUND BOUNCE IN THE AIR
[]Sand Splash got buffed, which means that it doesn’t take as long to charge AND it OTGs (R.I.P. Toy Touch)
[]Her Sand Splash assist is a great substitute for Wesker’s OTG gunshot assist
[]Buckler Slide negates pushblock, so if first hit gets blocked and they try to push block, they eat a slide/punch/uppercut
[]Wall Cling (hold against the wall without hyper jumping) combined with ADK helps her air mobility a lot, which she lacked in Vanilla.

A lot of people have been calling her ‘mini-Wesker’ since the game came out, and it almost looks like that. All she needs is a teleport (Cat Crawl lololol).

The pattern here is that any multi-hitting assist (excluding Spencer’s grapple assist) works well for Felicia, and helps her ground game. Her dominance comes from her ground game control and her reset potential (which she has MANY options to reset someone). If you want second slot/anchor, use her Sand Splash/Buckler assists. As I said before, Slide is a good assist for unblockables and Sand Splash helps to extend combos with the OTG properties and can help for mix-ups. Just in case Felicia is by herself, just get in with Kitty Helper and let DARK FELICIA RISE.

I’ve always used her on point because I felt as if I could never really use her at her full potential as an XF anchor but I’ll just do some more experimenting and practice. Thanks again
You can level up frank really easily with Trish so it might be worth trying felix/trish(peekaboo)/frank(cart). I think you’d get more playing Trish on point so Felicia can extend for her and it sets up for really easy resets with round harvest after a hard knockdown dhc’d into kitty helper for the unblockable during the lockdown. Past that Trish works well with lockdown, Hori, or OTG so pretty much close your eyes and pick anyone you like and you’ll probably find a decent option.
