What happens if you fight a sent who blocks all that?
Then that’s probably a really good Sent who deserves the win because he learned the game and the character other than two normals.
I don’t mean to be a broken record, but nobody with even the most basic understanding of networking accepts their explanation.
They have stated that a GGPO style netcode was too hard to implement, they would have had to have planned it from day one. They had to take a big risk and put alot of money into it and almost make online priority one, capcom did not want to take that risk with scares of how well recieved this game would be I guess, so we ended up with the netcode we have now. Now, I had no idea that it’d be THIS bad, I was expecting ssf4 type online except for the fact that 1f links would not completely fuck online over. Apperantly, they were told to use the ssf4 netcode no questions asked, they tried to implement it to “the best of their ability” and here we are. I just wish Capcom had more money to actually had put more money into this project to afford to delay it and also put more money within the network resources, becuase upon doing some research, this is apparently what went down.
… Still, fuck this game online.
Not true, and that type of thinking is what stunts your growth as a player.
I am trying to break the game with him now. Making sure that people absolutely hate him by EVO. I got 4 months to work with, I’ll see what I can do.
(Would have been more fun if me breaking the game with him if he and the entire game had better damage scaling. It is a personal gripe, big damage is OK, but process is often more regarded then results when it comes to a fighting game. I want to have a blast getting there, but that’s to hard for people to understand i guess, but i guess it is my fault for coming off as hostile.)
Well then I don’t understand some of you. No one seems to consider a good sentinel when they talk about all the ways to beat him then go on to say sent isn’t hot shit.
Because anyone who’s actually good with a character and reads your shit deserves a win. It doesn’t matter if it’s Sent all the way down to Ryu.
Ryu’s still low tier?
While true, I don’t get how people can judge sentinel as a character off bad play 
As low as tiers can get in this game. He still wastes assists like they’re nothing, but outside of that…meh.
Unless you’d like to offer up someone who’s worse. I don’t play everyone so there could be someone who slipped by me.
Uh, because when you’re discussing tactics player skill doesn’t come into play, just the tactics. Of course they can be countered, so can the Sent player’s own tactics.
i.e., when you’re discussing a mixup game, a comment like " Well those mixups are useless because someone can just block them all"… that’s not the point.
Similarly, when Duck Strong mentions that Sentinel can punish random full screen assists with HSF, he doesn’t bother bringing up that no one with half a brain is calling out random full screen assists anyways

You’re forgetting that Sentinel has a really good beam projectile, and fly mode to get around projectiles. Now, if you’re talking about Doom’s beam, then Sentinel, on reaction, can counter Doom’s beam with HSF. The only character that can really shutdown Sentinel is Magneto because his projectile is good, and shockwave destroys HSF. But then again, Sentinel can fly mode out of there, and wouldn’t do a random HSF.
Except I’ve seen good Joes, and with Viewtiful God Hand and that annoying ass small hitbox, he can be annoying as hell to deal with.
That was a direct reply to Renegade who suggested people call assists against Sentinel and then super jump.
A good joe is a good player. There’s good servbots, good Dans, good Seans, good Tsubakis, etc. etc. … and good Joes. Joe himself has very little juice though.
I’m saying that I really haven’t seen a Good Ryu to compare to Joe. Whether that’s because Ryu’s that ass or no one is really getting behind him is yet to be seen. I’d rather see the best of every character before I REALLY say who’s better than who. But I really have Ryu lower than Joe at the moment.
Ryu’s assist raping capability is impressive. Call an assist on him when he’s not blocking and it’s goodnight. I can’t speak for Joe.
the thing is, that can be beat by smart assist calling. Then what? I mean, I do use Ryu, so if people are doing something completely secret then please fill me in.
