That’s why I’m really not afraid of Morridoom. If you play patientily Strange can open up Morrigan and kill her imediately. But I never played Chris G (obviously). That man is not a braindead Morridoom, he knows what he is doing, so i think the main problem Champ has is Chris G and not any Morrigan players (JRosa?). Also you can DHC from Magneto to Strange with Seven Rings of Raggador to clear the screen from Soul Fists. I’m really into the idea that Strange is the counter for Morridoom but you need to play really smart because of Strange’s 850.000 health.
I don’t think Bolts would be my assist of choice. Strange stays there for so much, he can be hit by Soul fists, Shell kicks and missiles. And Morrigan is almost always flying so it would be hard to convert. I think Daggers of Denak assist should be harder for her to get around since it tracks. Anyway, i think Bolts has some durability to clear Soul Fists (needs testing).
I still cant get this one… is it ADD, Heavy, Special, Heavy, lighthypergrav?
I feel like i always see people doing the blast into fly, the smacking a couple heavys and dashing down into heavy into hypergrab. but when i try that im stuck in fly, do i unfly? or is what im saying just wrong…
You can do an L, H unfly if you notice the opponent dropping lower than your body height for the first method. It dramatically decreases your amount of hypergrav loop reps though.
What’s the best way to hit confirm off an errant air hit that doesn’t involve magnetic blasts? I think I’ve seen something that looks like air H, air S, addf, st. l, launch or something?
what you have is pretty much it, except you do j. L after the addf when normal jumping and j. H if at super jump height. then go into a flight combo or ROM
Hi guys.
I’m gonna ask about the old classic hyper grav loop.
I’ve pretty much got the hang of it. But, I can only do one rep. The second hyper grav seems too far away.
I neutral jump then plink dash down into H. Am I dashing into the wrong direction?
Need help with my hyper grav loop, he always falls out before I can loop it and also its odd because I can manage to do it but only while in xfactor :(… Please watch teh whole video I need help http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FEViqThfEww&feature=youtu.be
Jesus F*****g Christ man! no need to post in four separate threads, I’m usually not one to have a go at new guys but it says you joined up to 2 years ago you should know about forum etiquette! as for your question go here, question 3:
These are probably pretty dumb questions, but fuck it. My magneto is pretty ass and I need all the help I can get. First of all, what should I be doing about up back + pushblock? I know I can just grab people who up back all day, but when missiles are coming down on them too, I’m not sure how to open them up. Should I just wait and see if the pushblock all the missiles so I can grab them after, or should try bringing them down to the ground somehow?
My other question is about flight and magnetic blasts. I was watching just the beginning of FChamp’s FT10 with Moonz and I saw that he was plink dashing in flight, and then he did a magnetic blast while keeping his momentum, and then he landed. Did he just do j.:s: and then cancel that into :l: magnetic blast, or did he do qcb :s:?
@DeskLampTV: I know exactly what you mean with the missiles. Mostly you just wait to see what they do, or apply some generic pressure by keeping them in blockstun (stuff like st.LLLLL into cr.L as they’re landing), BUT, you can also do backdash while the missiles are hitting and then boxdash MagBlast L. Try and hit it as they are falling from the last missile. The purpose of it is to immediately put them in grounded blockstun after they fall from the missiles, granting you one more mixup (either a trijump j.L, or a cr.L a grab, whatever.) People also get hit mashing shit sometimes, thanks to this, and you can confirm it easily.
As for the flight into blast stuff, it’s S into mag blast, yes.
@bloodabeast I haven’t actually tried doing something like that, but I have thought that it would be funny to airdash up and down and fly/unfly while they are locked down by missiles, and then just grabbing them once they are out of blockstun.
@Kanta-Kun Thanks for the advice, I appreciate it. Hopefully now I can open someone up when they decide to up-back and block missiles.
On a side note, do you only get notifications when someone writes @ then your username? I didn’t get a notification for being quoted and I almost missed bloodabeast’s post
Hello all, I was wondering if anyone had some general advice regarding a solo anchor Mag? I’ve played tons and tons of Mag in general, but it’s always with assists and lockdowns and all that fun cheap stuff.
But in the back, all by his lonesome, it’s a pretty different ball game. I’m still convinced he’s amazing, and one of the games better anchors, but it’s tough to have the nerve to go for tri-jump stuff, or even just to rush in, w/ no lockdown or protection, especially w/ people’s propensity to hit buttons. Having XFC options like Shockwave XFC, dash in launch stuff is obv nice, ditto XFactored Squeezes can be a nice finisher.
But I guess I’m looking for any general tips or mind-sets w/ Magnus and only Magnus. I know it’s matchup and context dependant, but figure there have to be some general ideas. Again, I’m not at square 1 w/ the guy or anything. But when your whole game plan was setting up a lockdown situation to go nuts w/, you can feel a little naked w/o said lockdown lol
Definitely seems like the grab game comes more to the fore, especially when an XF3 pop can kinda negate the throw-scaling a bit (especially when the goal is just to grab, XF, squeeze, say g’night). I guess I’m just a bit more nervous going in ‘naked.’
