Not game related, but the new Spider-Man (from the upcoming movie Amazing Spider-Man) strikes a familiar pose. Perhaps the stuntman (or Andrew Garfield himself) is a fan?

Prefer Sam Raimi’s version of the costume. That just looks shit IMO. The eyes are way to small which is one of the reasons why I hated the early Amazing SP comics.
I don’t mind the costume really. Normally I hate changes to even small things let alone big things like this but I like the ultimate spidey costume from the nineties and this is like a half way point in my eyes :shrug:

I’m not a native english speaker, so maybe skates means something different, like the rollerblades lol? I meant he walks around with a skate (the actual board) under his arm and dresses like a male version of Avril Lavigne with holes in his long sleeved shirt with his thumbs through it. Well, I’m kinda struggling with the words here, but if you’ve seen the few pics/videos of how the movie is coming up they made Parker a lot different.

Wow…I know they were going for a more ‘Ultimate Peter Parker’ (who is now literally dead by the way) look but just…wow.
no one cares for the ultimate series so it’s whatever :lol: oh well if that’s whats hot then that’s whats hot. I’m only gonna watch it cuz it’s Spiderman then probably criticize it afterwards like I did the first series which in my opinion should have waited considering all three of em did a bad job. Fortunately the second one had a saving grace in it’s video game. Now back to gameplay. Web ball has it’s uses.
I don’t understand how you can say that. The 1st and 2nd movies were good the 3rd was trash. The 2nd Spider-man movie rates on my all time top 10 movies and that list also includes The Godfather part 1 and part 2 and Shawshank Redemption. Not to mention Spider-man 2 has an average IMDB score of 7.6 which is damn fucking good considering how tight ass people are on that website to rate movies.
The third had potential but I think Raimi was pressured in that one to include numerous villains and thus became shit.
The book for the third one was awesome everyone had a backstory and there were extra fight scenes. The second one was the best of the three of them. I’m too much into the comics. I know somethings have to change because of the tines and what not but after looking at the whole series when it was complete I was disappointed. Trust me my opinion of the series changed a lot when the other two came out.
How do you guys feel about SMvC3? Personally I’m worried they’ll take stuff from Spidey, namely make web throw scale and remove the infinite and gimp his damage potential. I’m personally fine with his current incarnation though I wouldn’t mind faster startup on web zip.
I don’t care about them nerfing the infinite; I’m just scared that they’ll fuck with Web Throw’s mechanics.
Hopefully it still doesnt scale. I dont use the infinite much as is but hopefully they still allow him to get his crossup mechanics to aim for that high end damage. If hes a new Spidey I dont mind that either I rather enjoy breaking this character down. I will say though that if it’s true about them adding Venom I may have to relinquish the reigns to Airborne so I can go break Venom ASAP
Is it just me or does it seem like people have dropped Spidey? Doesnt phase me just an observation.
I’m still rocking Spidey. I do think Viscant has a decent point in his WakeupSRK interview. He said that all real competitive teams featured Wolverine or Jean Grey.
(I don’t completely agree with this, but I also don’t think it’s far from the truth) Basically comparing them to Sent and Magneto from MVC2. I still think Spider-Man is viable and very competitive, but I’m not sure about at the very top level. I can’t comment on this because I am far from a top level player. I think most people see players doing well on streams with Wolverine, Wesker, and Phoenix. It also doesn’t hurt that those three characters are very easy to pick up in a day or two. Spidey requires a lot more work than many of the other characters. I think most people just try to mimic what they see the top players doing.

Actually, I’m gonna either put both on one team (and make it work, mind you) or just main 2 different teams, but primarily work on Spidey and Venom.
Edit: Also, I haven’t really noticed anyone dropping Spidey. The only person I haven’t heard of/from for a while is DanielRGT, which I find rather odd. He seemed to be doing very well in his area.
I do agree with Viscant in that every team needs 1 or 2 top/upper tier character(s). However, I don’t really know how much synergy we have with Logan… perhaps I should explore that idea. ;O
