the game has been out for what 13 days? who expects someone to be playing like it has been out for 10 years. not me…
I know right, dudes are to quick to judge “OMG reduce the damage, OMG this game takes no skill” and then justin wins every tourney he enters and so many games are ending in time outs. Plus shoutouts to ryry and justing for actually using x-factor for guard cancels, been waiting to see someone do that.
Also. I am preparing for when dante is on almost every team. nobody has yet started to master dante like isedelica and i think trag.
I sorta guessed that considering how he was talking more about Street Fighter than Marvel during the stream. But people fuck up links all the time in Super. Its just more of an obvious fail in Marvel than in Street Fighter since being in blockstun is a huge deal in Super than it is in Marvel. Yes there were some combos being dropped that shouldn’t have but to rail on them so hard is a bit too much given how its a high play setting on a new game where bodies/crap is everywhere. There were no perfect links in Street Fighter when it came out? Chris Hu was pretty hilarious on hating on Sentinel and just saying “LOL just Sentinel force that shit”.
But… looking at it again. Some of those combos were pretty braindead. I did laugh when someone said “How do you miss the easiest combo in the world?” Also snapbacks need to be fucking abused when an assist has a shitload of red health. To be honest, Justin Wong would have probably lost and not be in the finals if he got knocked out by PR Balrog. A simple snapback and chip would have been game.
@“Damage is too damn high”: There were SOOOO many time outs it was retarded! I think the reason for that was because people are just too damn scared of getting hit. That and winning by lame outs against Phoenix teams. Usually that doesn’t end up working and there were a couple of times trying to run out by time cost them the match.

And then Justin using XFC to escape when he tried it a 2nd time was just “omg wat” moment. Justin learns so fast.
If anyone can hit those isedelica combos outside of training mode with all the assist and shit flying around…

Has anybody else been having a hard time getting into ranked matches today? I haven’t been able to find one since around 5:30 - it just searches and searches and never finds a match. Oddly enough, player matches haven’t been a problem, but - meh.

I’m with you. Not gonna lie, the commentary during Neo vs. Clockw0rk made the whole affair that much better. I agree with the general consensus, though: Gotta have a balance of data/strategy and humor.

XBL. It was strange - I was in the middle of a session (finding matches through training mode), everything was going fine, then I suddenly couldn’t find a ranked match to save my life.
That happened to me on PSN when I first got the game, but after the update it stopped doing that. It’s fine now… Don’t know what it did, being the fix wasn’t supposed to do anything except prepare the game for the dlc that’s coming out tomorrow… but whatever.
I did. Don’t make it a habit of saying anyone on the forums is full of shit. If you want to disagree with somebody’s point or opinion, do so. Repeatedly attacking someone personally is a jackass thing to do.

Man, I am 5th Lord now. Everyone I’ve played is either fighter, beginner, amateur, and rarely 6,5th Lord. When I lose its usually a fighter from Japan lol. I am also getting sick and tired of fighter the same team combination that go stupid dog, Zero, and Dante.
The game is fun and Iam a Sentinel whore.

Finally got up to 40 ranked wins. Kinda sad that it’s taken so long. Win-loss ratio is in the toilet still. Bleh. Time to change out the team now that I’ve hit that mark, though.
Question from someone who is new to the game:
I have a lot of trouble dealing with characters like hagger, hulk, sentinel etc which have decent range normals with super armor (i think thats the terminology). Even when I know whats coming all I can do is block which usually pushed me back enough that i cant get in to punish afterwards. I usually try zoning them, which works for a bit, but eventually they get in and I dont know what to do. I just lost a game to a kid who used hagged and just repeatedly jumped and piped and it was infuriating. Anyone have a suggestion?

I think you have to realise that a lot of normals that don’t seem punishable are in fact punishable. If Sentinel uses a launcher and you block it, it may be worthwhile to try dashing immediately once you can move and trying to tag him with your fastest normal. Someone like Skrull could probably elastic slam him on reaction to blocking his launcher.
Lol! My ideas for the alt costumes for the following.
Storm: MVC2 outfit. loved the long white hair and her x-men outfit
Magneto: Similar outfit without the helmet. the nice wavy white hair. and make him look buff with nice detail in the muscle tone to make him not look like he hiding his beer belly in tights.
c.viper: her tech outfit from sff4
haggar: in a suit with a sash that says mayor of america on it.
i’ll come up with more. if ya want…
