For what its worth, he’s the most common person mentioned with her. Both bomb and shield would be most excellent.
Her level 3 is cute. Just wish she wasn’t doing it on Viper.
Yeah, i remember it, i just think she didn’t have it in this game
I actually wanna try experimenting with that M.O.D.O.K. reflector assist with Felicia’s meter building move and see how many levels it can get before the assist wears off. I was thinking about using M.O.D.O.K. after seeing some vids, and he is one keep away character for sure.
Maybe not initially, but probably after he gets a few Levels of Understanding to make the reflect bigger.
I didn’t notice the tags for this thread until now. LMAO
Wasn’t much of a fan of MvC2, but MvC3 looks like it might be a game I’d wanna get good at. What can I learn about MvC2 Felicia that could possibly help out my MvC3 Felicia game?
It’s tricky but in essence almost all her moves are the same, but with tweaked properties that make them way better.
I really don’t know if her extended ground combos with cat spike or rolling buckler work in 2, because to be honest I didn’t play her in 2 at all (nobody else did tho :p) So I can’t really judge
To be honest the games enough different that unless you wanna get good at vs in general, character training won’t help much. Just look at last night, Jwong was dropping storm combos like mad, because the timing and system are just different enough to throw him off.
Only differences I see with the two versions of Felicia is that Cat Spike is actually useful in MvC3 and that she has the Kitty Helper hyper. In MvC2, her rolling buckler trip combos were actually pretty good (if they didn’t tech roll all the damn time lol) and landing her Please Help Me in MvC2 was as easy as doing a hadoken. Hopefully those Rolling buckler trip combos are back in MvC3. (I do recall seeing some rolling buckler trip combos in some videos.) All of her moves are still the same from 2 but I wouldn’t want to try copying EXACTLY everything.
You can combo into and out of low rolling buckler (the low one anyways), same with cat spike, altho the timing/spacing on the latter looks really tricky.
Purrrrrrrrrrfect.
Hilarious Cat Run shenanigans:

How safe are her Neko Punch and low kick (from rolling buckler)? Are they extremely punishable on block?
that is so awesome.
Not only can you respond to hypers with the run (which I suspected but didn’t know), you can punish :snka: attacks! I’m presuming you have to predict them tho’
Wakeup games! Especially if you call in Doom before the run at that small range.
How’d Felicia run past Dante at 2:22, then Sand Splash? I thought that was a charge move now? Or does it have a really short charge time now?
Since Felicia’s dash move is a command dash, you can buffer the charge so that the Sand Splash can come out.
Interesting . . . I assume you would have to buffer the charge for the opposite direction once you start dashing, and time it to hit after you run past the opponent.
Felicia’s gonna be all about the cross-up games. So, the dash is a handy little tool for buffering commands alongside charge moves. :3
Yeah I’m really impressed at all the tricks and attention Capcom gave to Felicia’s playstyle in this game. She is far from being just a copy/paste from her old versions, as almost everyone assumed at the time of her reveal. I hope she becomes a beast in this game, instead of a character everyone just rolls their eyes at like in mvc2.
I’m hyped already. I can see all the kind of advanced techniques for her. But hopefully she has more KFC combos than just her Hyper Rolling Buckler into like another Rolling Buckler lol (Please Help Me perhaps? :3)
