SO from what Im hearing Felicia is now a bit easier to use?

i was pretty bad at her extended combo’s in vanilla…

If you keep at em Fersnachi you’ll get em. They can take awhile but after you master her technical aspects the rest is easy. Definitely worth the time investment, I don’t even play a ton of MvC3.

Playing around with her, you really need to find a good way to maximize damage. I’m trying a set up where I can end it with ADK > Toy Touch (Stone Smite Assist) > jS > Assist Hits.

As for ADK, it carries nicely but if you don’t land near them when you bring them to the ground, you cannot level 3. The bounce isn’t high enough. Also if you do her normal magic series but go with a ADK instead of jS on the Air series, you cannot relaunch into a jump series.

Finally for the Sand Splash OTG, you need to backdash so you get them with the bulk of the animation if you are in the corner. If are too close it won’t work. In addition, you can’t do 5S > jH > jS > land > Sand Splash. I’ve tried it a few times and haven’t gotten it to work, even with delays in buttons and the jump going up-back. Not enough time for the animation to come out.

Also the jump arc after :df::m: seems to have changed. Instant overheads don’t work any more.

On a random note :df::m:, :rdp::ub::h: combos against standing opponents (delaying the delta kick so it comes out in the air, thus groundbouncing). Haven’t found much use for it yet.
It works from closer if you end with :uf: instead of :ub:, but it’s hard to input.
It also works OTG near the start of a combo, but there’s no real reason to do so.

I’ve been using H splash, so maybe that was the problem. Still gotta backdash I see. I think for the most part we gotta look at assists with hard knockdowns at the end, or ones with a wall bounce at least since Felicia does not have a wall bounce assist. The assist nerf pretty much put most Felicia assist combos out.

Crispy, when you said that sand splash assist “scales pretty damn hard”, what did you mean exactly? What scales, the damage or the hitstun?

I was thinking of using sand splash assist to set up resets with Shulkie.

Oh no it might be combo scaling, not damage.

Forgive me if this has already been asked, but:
Is Cat Crawl faster, or otherwise more safe? I’m curious if they buffed it up from being a ‘great-when-it-works,but-mostly-gets-you-hit’ move to being a bit more usable.

I’m just hoping that my curiosity doesn’t kill the cat.

Well turns out I was just being crazy with Sand Splash OTG not working on my part. :h: Sand Splash should work outside of the corner and in the corner, backdash and use I think :m: Sand Splash into Dancing Flash like Huoshen said. I’m gonna have a handy dandy notebook available for tonight, so I’ll update any notes or any discoveries that I can post here. I already have some BnBs in mind, but they’re all theorized (pretty much like everything else I have said so far lol.)

I saw Felicia drop someone out of Dancing Flash that was cancelled from Sand Splash OTG :frowning: Think James Chen was playing her in the second one of Max’s video things.

I’m REALLY loving Air Delta Kick and Sand Splash OTG, though adjusting my combos to incorporate them is a bit awkward. I just wish the ground bounce on ADK wasn’t as slight as it is.

I’ve had a few situations where ADK hit and DID NOT GROUND BOUNCE. Assuming I’m crazy but will double check tomorrow before I head off to the Xanadu stream.

The third hit of ADK should ground bounce every time, unless there’s some kind of mechanic that prevents it from triggering for some reason that we aren’t aware of yet. I’ve pulled off a pretty long combo that still resulted in a ground bounce, ending in PHM:

:dp::m::m::b::h::qcf::m::l::m::h::b::h::s: sj.:m::m::h::s: assist(Hsien-Ko) backdash :b::f::h: dash :s: sj :h::rdp::h: Please Help Me

Only the third hit of ADK ground bounces and sometimes it’s pretty hard to hit mid combo. I am gonna record some footage at my buddy’s house on Saturday or hopefully earlier than that so I can put out some combo examples for you guys. :3

Hello folks, Felicia bandwagoner here.

From my testing, the third hit will whiff if you attack too fast after a super jump. I try to delay my air moves until I’m at a decent height so it doesn’t whiff.

So what’s the word on Kitty Helper? What has actually changed?
