In DS, if Felicia jumped and landed on the opponent’s head she would sit on top of them. Useless but entertaining.

In Vampire Savior she can just hop on top of the opponent’s head and sit there.

The hug taunt is forward+taunt when close. I’ve seen it called a fake throw before.

Those vids are nice seeing how I hardly ever see any use of her. I mean I still haven’t really seen her in MvC3 much but the game is about a month away so meh.

Is learning MvC2 Felcia any good for MvC3? I asked this before but the game was still kinda new at the time.

She still has a lot of her otg stuff and pokes and almost all of her moves are the same so I think her MvC2 incarnation is worth playing. Her Sand Splash is charged now, however, which pisses me off to no end. Pretty sure you can still combo in Dancing Flash as you could in MvC2. Not sure if you can otg ‘Please Help Me’ (rarely see that hit in MvC3 for some reason). I don’t think ‘Please Help Me’ does anywhere near the damage it did in MvC2, though.

The only new move she has is that ‘Cat Run’ that supposedly goes around projectiles. But I’ve heard different things about it’s properties from being able to go around every attack, even Iron Man’s Proton Cannon to being unable to go around multiple hit attacks like beams, Trish’s traps, or guns. As rare as Felicia matches are, I’ve only seen this once or twice in any video.

aw what the fuck man, sand splash is charge? I thought it was simply back then forward, attack? Didn’t they say they were getting rid of charge moves in this game?

The run avoids everything, The way it can fail is if you’re too far away or do it too early, and she comes back into axis in front of them and before the move ends.

Also she has her meter charging move, which I think she didn’t have in MvC2.

I’d swear sand splash was charge motion in 2 also tho’.

You want to do the run late, if anything. God I wish someone would have recorded some of my matches at EVO. I was running around stuff all day.

Also, don’t worry about sand splash being a charge move. It just makes you actually think about using it. It’s still a good move.

Please help me is a lvl 3. That’s why its less used.

s for Felicia’s stamina, it’s below average (it’s not the lowest in the game), but low stamina is true for a lot of the strongest “rush” characters in terms of health, and she has a very strong rush-down game. Beyond her movelist, there are a lot of features of the MVC3 engine that she is particularly good at exploiting. I won’t be able to describe her extremely fast high/low mixups in a convincing way, but here’s a few other Felicia fun-facts that make her strong:

being able to OTG the opponent without the use of an assist is a very valuable ability in MVC3, and Felicia’s d/f middle attack is one of the best in that department, meaning she can easily hit-confirm into a lethal combo from virtually any situation.

She can also combo from a throw as well as from her command throw. Because d/f + middle attack is also jump-cancellable, in the corner, this is particularly dangerous.

She has a low-hitting assist, meaning she’s not just dangerous as a point character, she’s also one of the most dangerous assists in the game (you can set up unblockable high/low situations).

Those aren’t even the top reasons she’s strong, which are better seen than talked about. Her “Helper Kitty” super is also extremely dangerous, and sets up more potential unblockables while she’s on point.

Did you know those things about Felicia? I’m guessing “no” because nobody without a copy of the game would know them, and if you DID have a copy of the game, I wouldn’t have to tell you that Felicia is legit, because you would know it for yourself I’m not trying to go “I have the game and you don’t! Neener neener neener!”, I’m just pointing them out to illustrate that there’s a lot more to these characters than meets the eye, or that you would necessarily discover after a few minutes of playtime. You’re going to want to go hands-on and spend some time playing before you make pronouncements about who sucks, who doesn’t–there are an unbelievable amount of possibilities in here.

Anyway, enough Felicia chat–let’s have this argument again after the MVC3 release. If you still think Felicia is so worse than she’s been in other games (and can find a rankings chart or two that agrees), I’ll be happy to apologize.

PS- to the OP, regarding the voice, if you don’t like the English voice actor, you’ll have the option to select her Japanese voice instead!

I’d say she is looking stronger in MvC3 than MvC2 for sure after trying her out at the NCR build, but I still got some stuff to discover. When this game comes out, I’m definitely gonna test some stuff with her with combo-ability and set-ups. Just some notes on stuff:

It’s actually good to know that her throw AND command throw (Hell Cat) is actually combo-able.
Helper Kitty is actually better than a lot of people think, I think it functions the same as DS3, which makes the helper kitty controllable.
Stupid charge move for sand splash makes me sad.
Best assist so far would probably be Cat Spike because of the way it hits and bounces the opponent.
I still gotta find a way if her Please Help Me hyper is combo-able or not.
For a rush down character, the “power charge” move is real useful.

So, S-Kill deals with this stuff on a regular basis? Props for keeping it cool man, you could even see the frustration in that response a bit. Needless to say, from the beginning people were saying that Felicia has a lot of potential, glad to see that the higher ups acknowledge that. If Lei-Lei is good, team Vampire could be dangerous on its own.

I’m surprised Seth Killian even put up with those ignorant questions. Felicia looks awesome in MvC3, and thats saying something, I usually dislike anime catgirls.

Charge move+MODOK Aegis assist is going to be one of the tings I test out come launch.
