meter building via attacking is so buffed in this game I dont see a need for the charge.
Something’s just not clicking with me and Felicia. Sometimes I’m able to rape face with her but if somebody asked me how, I’d completely space out. I’m not able to remember exactly what it is I do with her.
Could somebody tell me exactly what her go-to combos are? I’ve seen people stringing together really long ones that involve rolling buckler slide. What should I be doing with her?
She’s a grappler first and foremost. l.hellcat (command grab) has rediculous range. As you know that leads to otg air combos that can be extended by pressing m, s after s in mmhs. People should be really afraid of that grab when your on the offensive. In terms of bnbs one that i’ve been practicing is multi hitting ground assist (sent drones for e.g.) and cat walk (atk + s) behind them. You can tri kick or h.dp to get in too. Once your in look for tick throws with l.hellcat or mixup with high low attacks. On taller characters you can jump in with l then press s right after to force them to block high twice.
Sorry for the random thoughts I’m sure others might have some good tips too. That’s just how I play her.
I wouldn’t call her a grappler, that’s going a bit far Hellcat and Air Grab are very powerful tools for her that’s for sure but saying she’s a grappler would imply her game revolves around them.
The standard Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS - Rolling Buckler Slide :P) combo is hit confirm > RBS > LM:df:M j.MMHS S sj.MMHS Toy Touch > fun. There’s some slight variations depending on your hit confirm, like being able to add a M before the S on landing. The easiest hit confirm is just LMH from however you managed to get in. After throws I’ll do Toy Touch j.MMHS LMH(:d:H depending on how high up I catch them)S sj.MMHS Toy Touch > fun :3
I got notion from the brady games mvc3 guide and from srk’s guide.
I don’t have the guide in front of me but I think it’s even more direct in calling her a grappler.
I guess we can officially say that her BnB does include the Rolling Buckler slide follow-up from here.
I was in the lab as usual and I can say that Felicia’s answer to Haggar’s lariat is sand splash. Best part is that she is still in crouching animation for Sand Splash, so she won’t get hit by the lariat. Maybe against the assist too, but still more lab time for that.
I will make a thread here specifying the type of projectiles SS beats or trades or clashes with. Look out for that info soon. (SS clashes with Sent’s Neutralize beam ;3)
I guess we have different opinions of what “grapplers” are
Argh, it used to not be a problem, but now it suddenly is again. I’m having a lot of trouble with Felicia vs. Sentinel. Generally, I’m running into this scenario when we’re both anchors, so no assists.
I have so much trouble getting in. What options do I have if the Sentinel keeps using launcher and pushing me out? Plus, his hitbox is weird, and I keep not being in range for command grabs when I think I should be.
If Felicia and Sent are both anchors and you haven’t used your X-factor yet, that would be the best time to do it. Go for instant overheads(j.:h::s:) as well since Sent is freaking fat and slow.
If your reaction time is good enough and you feel confident on punishing Sent’s launcher, just dash in and Hellcat him. He can’t move, plus grabs beat hyper armor so that would be your best answer.
One last thing that just completely destroys sent is Kitty Helper. Mix-up your attacks against Sent if he is just blocking. Once you call her in, use :h: Delta Kick or Cat Crawl to mix up the distance between you and your little kitty. Sent can’t do anything once get in dat clunky robot ass with you and your kitty at your disposal.
Are you sure you’re just not doing Hellcat early and whiffing through stun?
Does jumping clear his high laser? If you’re not too far wall cling then jump for extra distance plus much quicker than super jump (and can call assists if you have any left). I wonder if you can punish/predict a laser with Please Help Me, H version travels almost the whole zoomed out screen (basically a couple of steps in from max distance) and don’t think any hyper cancel can save him.
I’d also look to snap Sentinel in early. You want his assists as little as possible and don’t won’t to face Lv3 X-Factor Sentinel either.
If you believe in the godlike range :l: hellcat has, you don’t have to worry about whiffing it.
Felicia can just duck both Neutralize beams with ease, so unless you wanna get out of the corner I don’t think jumping his lasers would be necessary. Wall cling could work if high enough, but you can’t super jump and wall cling like in MvC2.
Felicia can trade with Sent’s HSF with the start-up of Dancing Flash, but it’s not worth it. PHM works EXTREMELY well against HSF if he already wasted his X-factor. Free 400,000 damage and OTG set-up.
If you are playing against Sent AND Haggar, I’d want to kill off Haggar first because his assist just complicates everything Felicia does.
I miss doing super jump and wall cling then watching kitty slowly slide back down to the ground
I was playing some games with friends yesterday and I pulled off some sweet unblockables with her Rolling Buckler assist. With Deadpool, I zoned with guns and used the assist for keep-away and then at the right time, I called her assist again and teleported right behind my opponent and then j.:s: and timed it with Felicia’s low kick. Her assist is REALLY good and could possibly be one of the best low hitting assists in the game. Any thoughts?
100% agree with you, CrispyTacoz. Rolling Buckler slide assist is definitely an underrated assist; I typically team it up with Wolverine’s instant overhead options, leading into Drill Claw, and we know what that leads to. Also, if you use any character with a triangle jump, the Rolling Buckler Slide combined with the mixups you can create with triangle jumps is just too much chaos.
I used to think her assists weren’t all that great, but Rolling Buckler Slide is an excellent way to create an unblockable.
No wonder Tasky and Felicia go well together: keep-away with arrows and Felicia’s assist to shut 'em down. Basically anybody in the game with a teleport (not Tasky lol) goes well with her assist. :3
Is it known that Felicia can dash right through Magneto? Is he the only one she can do that to? Is she the only one who can do that?
Edit: It also works against Storm. Iron Man and X-23 can’t do it.
Deadpool can dash under Maggy and Storm too. :3
Can someone list felicia’s pro’s and con’s can the list be non bias and legit please
Call me crazy but I think they did a subtle nerf to X-factor, before the patch I could swear I was able to do LMH xx RB xx KFC (Lv1) > LMH xx RBS etc. but now the hit-stun decay kicks in too early for that to work. Still works with Lv2 & 3 but I could swear I was able to do it before on Lv1 hmm~
I’m not very good at the game so don’t think I’m a good judge of character (ah-ha) but guess there are a few obvious things I can point out.
Pros
Very fast
Good combo damage
Can do full combo off throws including command throw
Lv1 X-Factor + 1 bar can kill a lot of the cast, Lv3 + 1 bar can kill all the cast
Builds fair bit of meter
Doesn’t need OTG assist
Mix-up potential
Good low assist
(Super cute!)
Cons
Low(ish) health
Has trouble getting in on zoners
I don’t rely on Felicia’s Level 1 X-factor, at least not yet because if I were to use level 1 it would have to be for killing off one character with godlike health (Tasky/Wesker/Tron/Hulk/Haggar/etc.)
I’ll give my list of pros and cons:
Pros
One of the fastest characters in the game, plus very underrated.
Excellent battery character
GODLIKE Rolling Buckler assist
Resets can happen pretty much anywhere once you are in
Cross ups are amazing with her
Jump cancel toy touches
Fair projectile (for a charge move)
Command throws are amazing (range and combo setup-wise)
THE KITTY RAPIST
Easy to land Level-3 hyper depending if you land your Rolling Buckler slide BnB correctly (excluding toy touch otg into rbs>phm, that shit is hard to pull off in a real match lol) plus you can continue your combo after level 3 depending on combo scaling
Very fast jab that beats out most normals that aren’t hyper armored or Tasky’s stupid st. or j.:h:
Cat Spike loop(X-factor Level 2 and 3 only)
Can crouch under high beams like Sent’s Neutralize Beam and Doom’s Plasma Beam with ease
Very very very VERY cute. :3
Cons
Below average health (but just above Maggy/Ammy/Zero/etc.
Has a little bit of problem getting in on extreme zoners like Dormammu/Doom/etc
Gets shut down by Haggar assist and Tron assist
Very punishable rolling buckler whiffs if you don’t use Neko Punch/Slide
If someone is very advance guard-happy, Cat Spike approaches won’t do very well(but you can get in with Delta kick, so there’s an answer to that. :3)
Cat Crawl can be punished if not used correctly
That’s all I got for now, might edit some more later. :3
