MvC3: Felicia thread V2: For All your Broadway Catgirl Nun needs!

Aside from that, the Hailstorm dilemma is still at hand. Two possible theories so far are superjump and wall cling, or Cat Run. Which do you think would work better?

Due to hailstorm’s startup I don’t think Storm will risk activating it while you’re close, so after her first one you cat run in and hit her.

edit: er… scratch that, cats. I just saw some videos of her spamming hailstorm, it doesn’t look like Felicia will be able to cat run in and still have enough time to block or punish.

Extremely bad news, Please Help Me is GARBAGE. Doesn’t hit OTG, doesn’t seem to combo from ANYTHING, hell, the only thing it’s good for could be it’s Invul Frames…

Perhaps we simply haven’t found it yet? I hope anyway. Anyhow, as far as avoiding hail Storm Goes, super jumping should work, whether or not it’ll keep you up there long enough to avoid all of it I don’t know.

Quite frankly I don’t see anyone but the scrubbiest of storms using it outside of a guaranteed connect, blocked or OTG. There may be some out there that panic and KFC spam five levels to try and chip you to death, but that is a hail Mary situation that I doubt will come up that much.

Does Delta kick land over head? My team is X-23/Felicia/Morrigan with some variation depending on how my experimenting goes with other characters. The combo kinda sucks I know, no way to cover my approaches and no real lock down either. It sorta banks on setting up either some unblockables or at least some really confusing scenarios where they don’t know where to block. Morrigan is my AA but may get replaced if I feel I need a way to cover my approaches.

I still have high hopes, regardless of level 3 conditions. Hailstorm only lasts like… 5 seconds, so it could possibly work.

Delta Kick isn’t an overhead as far as I know, but the speed on that is bananas. All your team really needs is just a way to get in dat ass, and X-23 is super fast. Then again that’s all I really know about X-23 lol. Unless you are willing to use Morrigan more than just an assist, go for it.

It wouldn’t surprise me if you could, but it seems it can’t combo from anything PRACTICAL. You’ll probably have to use an assist like Chun to get the job done.

So because it can’t be comboed into or OTG’d it’s effectively a counter hyper.

Great. Thanks Capcom. It’s fine that most level 3’s can be comboed into but you go out of your way to make sure Felicia’s can’t.

I’m looking at having Shulkie on point instead of Felicia now, perhaps cat spike can be used to set up unblockables with running torpedo. Still don’t know who my third team member will be. I’m looking at MODOK as a covering-fire assist but I want to use Shuma-Gorath. Also Felicia still has use as a battery.

In the case of an emergency where Hail Storm would chip you to death and you had Super to spare, could you Dancing Flash through all of it and emerge at the other side of the screen unharmed?

As for Please Help Me, I kinda assumed it would be nothing more than a move you’d use if you were super-confident that you’d win the fight. It’s more like an embarrassing way to kill someone than an actual move with potential. Besides, I’d think your Super Bar would be better spent keeping Kitty Helper constantly active.

It’s a shame that Please Help Me is no longer going to be Felicia’s Bread And Butter like it was in MvC2 (I have fond memories of ragequitters who didn’t like seeing it done 2-3 times in one combo), but at least she has plenty of new things going for her this time around. I’d say the new Dancing Flash and Kitty Helper make up for Sand Tsunami’s omission and Please Help Me’s loss of practical use.

I think so too, with some practice onb the timing (and maybe the version).

Also people are worrying too much about whether please help me! can otg. The lady has a plethora of otg options as it is. :df:+:m: > Dancing flash doesn’t combo on its own either (or it’s at least tricky), but I know you can make it work.

I don’t know for sure, but I don’t see why it wouldn’t when it works on everything else.

Its not totally clear that it won’t work, people just said they didn’t think it would work.

Like I said before, she can use her down-right medium attack after air combo for otg, you can choose to summon Kitty Helper and go for mix-ups. Just add assists, and you got a mess of blockstuns/unblockables.

I’m sure someone will find a way to land Please Help Me consistently. If you can pick people up with her OTG at all, it should be workable. If you can’t then she may as well not have the ability to OTG whatsoever.
