That doesn’t mean they designed it that way, play AI and tell me they spam assists all the time?
That just means assists were exploited and some people found some fun in doing so and other players saw themselves destroyed by assist spam that much that they had two choices:
-Start assist spamming themselves.
-Stop playing the game.
I really like this game but designers didn’t think about assist spamming when they were developing the game, not at such an extent at least. And that’s pretty much a fact in my opinion when you go see how IA plays.

SF4 AI doesn’t use FADC, Third Strike AI does nothing but taunt and throw random supers etc etc

You base the designer’s intent for competitive play by seeing how the AI plays? You are aware that the AI was designed for NON competitive players right? So that they have something to do since they don’t compete with other people?

fyi capcom showcased many of the uses of fadc in their original sfiv trailers. and one frame links arent glitches, theyre just hard. iirc, they threw in a couple of damn near 1 framers in akumas hard trial. really, i have no idea what youre talking about.

I design and code games in my spare time and I work in the industry, I’m very well aware of what bugs are and how they work, and the more you write about them the clearer it is that you don’t know what you’re talking about.

It works like this, you play the game, you find a bug, you report it.
They check a way a to solve the bug or if it adds to the gameplay they polish it a little if necessary.
