I hope we don’t get to see more than 1 wolverine…
Phoenix Wright…they HAVE to put Phoenix Wright.
On the real, there better be old school Bishop from X-Men! We need atleast 1 character to bust guns with Cable!!
I have a feeling there is going to be alot of leather in this game…
2D would take FOREVER and not be worth it. Trust me, its soooo much easier to make characters in 3D. And if we want a massive MVC style cast, it would have to be in 3D. If you look at SF4, the characters reuse so many parts.
If he plays like he does in X-men Next Dimension, I’m game.
It’d be sweet if this game plays similar to TvC.
Oh, man, I’mma need new pants after reading those rumors on the front page, haha. I think I may stroke if I see a screenshot. Is it wrong thart I’m more hype for this than I am SSFIV?
But it would probably look alot better.
Can haz Gambit nao?
But it would probably look alot better. Then again, that’s a matter of “opinion”.
Oh yeah i remember someone said in the KoFXIII thread it took about four years to complete the characters
My excitement for Super has been greatly suppressed based on this announcement. My excitement for Super was the highest it had been for a game since…well, Marvel 2.
So, no, its not wrong. It’s MARVEL, BABY!!! We can’t help it. And I concur with Bishop being in this game. Little Richard is about due, anyway.
I welcome the new 2.5 direction that Capcom is taking - It means we’ll get new games.
We definitely do not need old school black man with a mullet Bishop in this game.
But heavily misguided robot arm bald Bishop would be cool. Make it so one his special moves (based on his mutant power) does more damage depending on how much health he lost.
I’d personally prefer if they didn’t go the 2D route, just because I’d rather see them worry about other aspects of the game. Working in 3D allows them to reuse the models Capcom already has, along with the dev pipelines they’ve worked so hard to perfect over the past few years. This means more characters, more tweakability in development and more mainstream appeal at a substantially cheaper development cost, as there’s no real shortcuts to drawing nice 2D sprites.
There’s no arguing that the game would look crazy bad-ass as a 2D game, but if working in 3D is going to cut a lot of financial risk out of the equation, I’m not going to lose any sleep over it, as it lets them focus on expanding the roster, or allocating budget into other areas of development.
In my opinion, I like where they’ve been going with 3D. They’ve done a lot with it in a very short time.
Those of us who aren’t dyslexic disagree.
I personally feel they shouldn’t go old school with their choices…much.
I agree to disagree. Everything else you said in the post I can understand but in my opinion–the artistic quality in SF4 isn’t as good as 3s. I do understand that it will make the game alot easier to produce–that and 3-D is “in” right now so it makes sense for them to go 3-D but to me its a sad that it will be 3-D. Time will tell, gameplay wise though.
Cosigned. Though I do think TVC looks great. Hell, I think Project Justice looks great. The level of accuracy in something will always stand out against something with tons of flash, bells, and whistles.
I’d like a 2d game for sure. If Capcom goes the route of KOF in its visuals, I think were safe. I could care less how fast or slow the game is.
