I don’t understand why people are talking about character limitations. You all are acting like they’re going to start development now and release it next year. Who’s to say this game wont drop in 2014?
I’m only going by what Niitsuma said in an interview last January, but then again I’m not sure how long this game’s been in development or if they planned on releasing it later.
Once I see some screenshots or video I’ll be able to make a better opinion on everything… but I am ALL for a shitload of characters.
What is with you people NOT wanting a lot of characters? Even if some of them are horrible, so what… just don’t pick them ever. There is nothing wrong with having a lot of characters, imo. I promise it gives the game legs… Look at Marvel. I love randomly picking crazy low tier teams just to try and work out a victory against a better team. That shit is fun to me. If every character were balanced evenly it would be silly. I’d never feel good about beating a decent MSP team with my low tier team because really they are all about the same. Now I feel great about it because I know I had to work a lot harder to get the W.
Oh and I personally loved unlocking all the characters and colors on DC… I maxed out that timer very quickly. I dunno, I actually enjoy playing that game over and over again for some reason. As long as they don’t have stupid ways to unlock them I’m fine with having to unlock most of the characters. I can understand that being a bitch for tournaments though, but I’m sure 99% of the PS3’s at the tournaments will already have the deed done anyway.

haha nice hopefully i can get into this one because i suck at tvc and mvc2. so hopefully maybe 3 will get me interest in the verses games.
i dont know something about the fast pace of vs games drive me nuts.
I wonder if the magic series will be improved on. Maybe possibly even made longer for everyone? I would be all for that.
Well, they could just recycle the Capcom character models from TvC and maybe up the poly-count and texture resolution (except for Morrigan, it’s tradition after all).
Sad thing is, there were some people who actually complained about having nothing to unlock in the downloadable MvC2 for PSN/XBLA. Hope Capcom knows better than to listen to folks like those. Either that, or have a “Tournament Mode” code that unlocks everyone until you turn the game off.

Didn’t they get people like Magnetro and shit to help test MvC2 before releasing it? So obviously Capcom knows people who know the engine of MvC2 really well… surely they are going to include the awesome shit from MvC2 for this game. I seriously can’t imagine a MvC game without a magic series… It would not be right.
And I really hope I get to hear some more leaks about the SPEED of this game. Hearing it’s anything like IV has me worried, as that game is the slowest shit I’ve ever played. This game needs the speed of the 2nd one more than almost anything else.

The definition of “sprite” is a moving 2d object on the screen. The characters in TvC are models.

Subscribing. Curious as to where this will go…nothing is confirmed but it seems like this could be likely–or that Capcom is at least attempting to see if it can be made. All we can do is hope, right? The potential of certain characters being in the game at this point is pretty badass. Sheva would be…godlike.
