Back in the day, I thought Blanka would be a cool character to have. Since he’s capcom, he’d probably be a mid character but rushdown oriented with an 8 way airdash/blanka ball and supers like Felicia’s qcf + PP and Silver Samurai’s electricity one.

i read a post somewhere (too lazy to go back) that’d it’d be kinda stupid too feature the Fantasic 4 & only be able too play as 3 of them at a time.
As for how i want mvc3 too play (havent said how i want it too play yet ) i want it too play like mvc2 , be hand drawn by marvel (that’d look & be pretty beasty) , & balance or no balance isnt really an issue too me , so long as charactets like sentinel take up 3(4) spots like Lost Planet mech takes up 2 spots in tvc.
& like everyone else … Deadpool , Carnage , Megaman X & Dante ftw:tup:
They could always handle the FF sort of like Captain Commando with Ben Grimm or Johnny Storm being the selectable hero since I think those 2 are the most popular of the 4.

You were defending 2 button throws in a thread for MvC3. My fault for assuming you were smart enough to know which thread you were posting in.
But MvC2 didn’t even play like MvC1! Nor MvC1 like XvSF! When you and others say “Marvel” what you’re really saying is “MvC2” - you guys don’t actually care about the ‘Marvel’ or the Vs series as a whole. It seems you guys just love MvC2 (which is fine!). But the argument that MvC3 has to play like MvC2, ignoring the fact that no Vs games played exactly the same, just appears to be… fanboy wish stuff (sorry to say).
When you look at the progression of the Vs series (the hunter-combo games, not the Vs SNK games - tired of people speaking as if they’re one series) you see the mechanics change with every game, yet certain stables remain. “Marvel” is not the things the fans have constantly bought up in here, that’s MvC2. Again: What me and others (I won’t use the word rationals again if it helps you see the point) are saying is there’s a good chance MvC3 will not play like MvC2 - and just as the series has been operating we’ll get a game with all the legacy Vs game tunings that will make it a successor to the series, not merely MvC2.
Further more, we believe there’s a fine chance MvC3 will incorporate things from TvC, and not because we’re TvC fanboys (I don’t even own a Wii or the game). TvC is more balanced and friendly than MvC2 so there’s a good chance MvC3 will adopt mechanics found in TvC (named and presented differently of course) for MvC3 to be more balanced and friendly. It would also cut corners; I wouldn’t be surprised if the Capcom side models are in fact hi-res TvC models. Hell, if I could be blunt about it - you might as well consider MvC3 to be TvC2 with a mainstream coat of paint. I’m not saying that as a TvC fan or a MvC2 hater, that’s just how I observed the game industry to work. Most companies favor mainstream appeal over the needs of a few (but how sad that the few wouldn’t want the many to enjoy and compete with them, but that’s another SRK debate for another time).

That doesn’t even make sense. You were wrong and jumped the gun, no need to save face because it’s making you look even more pretentious. I can defend whatever play properties in whatever thread, and note I’m not even the guy who initially brought it up (extra note your lack of words to the guy who did, so your assumptions were pretentious and biased). Why can’t people online just move on instead trying to salvage themselves in the face of a minor correction? Not trying to insult here but seriously read what you posted.
And with that I’m tired of debating this. Quite frankly while in a speculation thread there are no wrong ideas on what’s to come, it’s absurd that people will ignore obvious clues and evidence just because it doesn’t feel good. If you don’t like that TvC may be used as a base for MvC3, fine, but don’t try to make us out to be crazy or making shit up or ‘wishing’ for an outcome. We’re just observing and making the call. We could be wrong, but please consider the fallacy in making MvC2’s exact traits the standard for the entire Vs series. Never happened before, and it won’t start because some people like Magneto’s epic rush down.

Actually, Luke Cage is still owned by Marvel. DC comics has obtained a large number of their heros via snapping up other company’s intellectual property and characters. Captain Marvel aka “Shazam” is one example. His books used to outsell Superman but Fawcett the company that published Shazam comics, got rid of their comics division after a long legal battle with DC over copyright issues. DC accquired the rights to Captain Marvel and has kinda made sure that he’ll never outsell Superman again.
Milestone was formed by Dwayne McDuffie, Denys Cowan and Derek Dingle to promote more diversity in comics. Buck Wild is a spoof of the Luke Cage books Marvel did in the 70’s and another black Marvel superhero, The Falcon, Captain America’s partner. Buck Wild would be perfect for Adult Swim but you’d need that Boondocks guy to be the writer.
The Milestone books and universe was made a part of the mainstream DC universe right around the time that Static Shock was airing on Kids WB, if I’m not mistaken. DC had an agreement to let the Milestone founders operate outside of DC’s mainstream and you got “edgier” storylines. Milestone had the only pregnant sidekick in comics history and loads of other stuff you wouldn’t see in a comic. But the books sold relatively well–nothing world breaking, but they did okay.
Dwayne McDuffie, Static’s co-creator, was also writing episodes for Cartoon Networks “Justice League” and “Justice League Unlimited”, which also might explain why Static was given his own show. Justice League kicked plenty of ass and next to “Batman: The Animated Series” is the best DC cartoon ever.
