Morrigan needs the same sprite from darkstalkers or its not a real MVC game

Id be ok if they let Morrigan sit this one out an put Lilith instead…damn i mean anyone else from the Darkstalkers series would be a welcome addition, ill even cross my fingers for Akira from Rival Schools, Capcom needs to push characters(even from obscure games) that havent been in any VS games.

But since Morrigan was in, like, the last good portion of VS games, I doubt they’ll really leave her out.

I hope to gawd it dosen’t. The game gets low attendance in tournies, it didn’t even have a beggining in japan arcades, just an end…it’s obvious not many like TvCs system. I am sure Capcom is aware of this.
I may be the only one, but I want MvC3 to play like MvC1… bring back 6 button attacks please.

Cut the fanboyism and actually think about how Lilith plays different from Morrigan. She’s pretty much a clone but a crappier fireball, no air dash, and a command grab that only asleep people will fall for. Some other but basically think about how that would translate to a versus title. You guys are fucking dumb for thinking that makes sense.
And versus series Morrigan already shows that she and Lilith are one entity anyway; so there’s no way that would happen.

I’ve seen some pretty good Lilith Players, and with some good air combos In MVC3, she could possibly do some big damage… Lilith was always a more aggressive character than Morrigan because she doesnt really have a projectile thats effective. If they sped up her moves, she would be bad ass

I thought this discussion was more of what characters people WOULD LIKE TO SEE, not if the character is “PRO” enough to be in…so take an asprin an calm down…in every fighting game there are characters that are there by way of player demand not the fact they are super useful.
also it’s not like a character can’t be made better for sake of design
I’m perfectly calm.
And it has nothing to do with a character being “pro” enough (whatever that means); I’m simply pointing out how dumb it is people want ANOTHER shoto-clone; on top of that a clone of another character that would probably need a lot of extra bells and whistles to be effective in a versus game; and we still haven’t gotten a decent Morrigan yet in those games (not counting TvC)!
I mean we already have these throwaway garbage characters (servebot, roll, Dan, Felicia, Sakura); I just thought instead of the fanboyism we’d hear about more interesting or lesser-known characters that could translate well or at least have interesting movesets…guess I was wrong. Hell even most of the assists in MvC1 fleshed out would make better choices…
Like this one. They could tweak and build off her hidden appearence in MSH and go from there. I’m thinking maybe zoning/summon/set-up character. Maybe throw in a few specials/hypers that use Donovan for attacks like Capcom summoning his buddies.
Of course, but like I said in my first post…why bother? That effort could be better directed elsewhere.

I don’t, and I hope they don’t either. With SO MANY characters to choose from within each universe the cast should be as unique and varied as possible. My biggest hope is that they redo what they did with Ryu in MvC1 which was fucking genius and that’s to have him Akuma and Ken all as one character. Instead of switching costing 1 bar of meter this time maybe it should be half a meter, or even free.
