First off, we don’t even know for sure if this game is coming out. The fact that the thread stays open may mean that Wiz is just letting us make fools of ourselves (yeah I know…Henaki…but still I’d rather wait for an announcement to make sure).

Second, you guys are crazy if you think the game is going to have the “fun stuff” that made people “like” marvel. The game is probably going to be a lot more constrained, less abusable and probably far less chances to end up what MvC2 became. It’ll most likely be more balanced as well. It could very well end up just the opposite of MvC2; few “glitches”, most everything will be intentional, etc. I could def be wrong, but…just putting that out there.

If the revision of TvC is any indicator, the quality control will actually be pretty high this time around, which I think is a good thing.

tvc is buggy as hell though? i mean its nominally more “balanced” because they nerfed everything fun and added stupid systems like 2 stock burst but its still buggy

no, not really…

There’s bugs that can be brought out by doing specific things, but that’s like, in every game. Not what I’m referring to. I wouldn’t call it a buggy game, no.

And I think its fun as hell. Every character can do insane damage with different set-ups, like baroque, combo extensions or just better execution; in fact just about everybody got damage and combo increases (cept karas); hardly what I would call a nerfed system. Guess you haven’t played the game.

I agree. Everyone know marvel was a mistake. And capcom is going to have to nerf the god tier anyways, and stupid people want the same repeat but just add more characters. lol

A system like mvc2 has been out for a long long time, and the old school players will easily run over the newcomers because its a known fact if you never played marvel it’s pretty much to late to surpass the oldies which are not very many in the FG community. Capcom said themseleves they want to bring in new people, and the vs system they made for tvc has been doing so. A engine like mvc2, the number of newcomers are going to drop once they easily get raped by the same old shit we see today. Even if mvc3 was the same damn engine, it still wont replace marvel and people are going to bitch.

The cool thing about Marvel is that the game is fun even if your personal skill is shit tier.Even if you just button mash crazy shit comes out. Then at the opposite end of the spectrum is a highly technical insanely competitive game for hardcore players. So I think a design direction in the same manner as the original Marvel series is necessary for a successful game, horribly broken shit or not. Let’s just hope we don’t get fucking Ono to produce this because then it’ll turn out like SF4, haha.

BTW, I’m still all for the TvC characters making it in, that’s not to say I want TvC in Marvel, I just want the characters.
