mvc2 HD back story. I believe going into this, some players were contacted about possible changes to the game. The time frame was slightly after ST HDR, and I believe capcom\backbone wanted to try the same thing with mvc2.
However due to technicalities of which I have no clue about, the changes were never implemented.
I’m sorta suspect on this. If mvc3 could have been in the works, I think the mvc2 HDR changes could of taken place but since mvc2 on next gen consoles sold really well, it could be that last little bit of incentive for them to make another version.

Just port all the VS crew, they would all fit fine.
Demitri needs to be used. What’s going on is like Capcom only choosing Chun Li to rep the sf series.
I think it’s because she’s the “Ryu” of DS in terms of awareness
If they have to pick between Morrigan and Demitri (second most known DS char I guess?) to represent the series they’ll probably pick her due to the whole fanservice side of things

I have to agree here. While I like some of the tracks from MVC2 and CVS2, I much preferred MVC’s system of the music changing depending on the challenger, then changing again when there was only one guy left on the challenging team. With the capacity of discs these days I’m sure they could include music for the whole cast from the classic games, who wouldn’t want to hear Captain America’s MSH theme again?
As for roster, considering that TVC is already in the can and it’s likely that they’ll just use that engine again, you think they could just re-use everyone from the Capcom side again? Obviously they could include more characters, but I would like to see all the TVC Capcom guys return.
It would save time and resources porting the TvC Capcom fighters. They’d have to model new Marvel characters and maybe some new Capcom characters if they wanna keep the large roster count. I’m betting the roster will be smaller than MvC2 (and I wouldn’t mind). 20 is a good number…
I wonder if they’ll use Activision’s Marvel voice cast or new VAs. It would be cool if we got some celebs doing voice work for the Marvel side.
I agree on seeing the TvC cast return, I need to see Frank West more, haha. And maybe he’ll actually look like himself in this one =P

Anything else is just gravy. I hope this is just as awesome as MvC2…

Hell yes, definitely really want Punisher to be in it. I would like it especially if it was his MAX/Marvel Knights look with the trenchcoat.
He would make an interesting character too, I imagine he would primarily use guns and whatnot (no lasers and stuff hopefully). Maybe the Battlevan could make an appearance for his Hyper Combo or something.

no not really anakaris would be weak he’s in mvc2 and he kind of sucks but who knows new game new playstyle. Besides although i want other ds morrigan is cool enough to be there just wish they change her default costume 
yeah i can agree with this and demitri had his chance. Outside of DS every game he’s in he sucks balls.
Also, Morrigan is almost like DS’s Main character. Combined with Liliths power, she is supposed to be extremely Badass. She has been an original, and she is probably the most popular Darkstalker

probably i know people that don’t play darkstalkers that know who morrigan is. I want raptor and maybe donovan but doesn’t matter who they get if chun-li and ryu make the game she better make it also for the same reason they make the game she should also.
Morrigan is a requirement for a successful vs. game in the 21st century, just look at Capcom Fighting Jam and SvC Chaos…
