one of those reasons still happen to be because tvc is on the wii and there’s no updated arcade release of it. I still don’t think it’ll be a true marvel sequel to most as its not going to be as many characters this time and it’s not going to be 2d like most want.

Btw, I’ve been thinking about this a whole lot lately–and I’m seriously wondering if they’re going to keep the entire 56 characters (Along with the same 2D sprites) or if they’re going to go the way of Tatsunoko, which means everything will have to be redone. Well, I kinda have a feeling they won’t, but I don’t think that Battle system deserves to be discarded so quickly. They made it a point to put a timer on assists, so I could very well see that being applied for Marvel 3.
why not just make darkstalkers vs marvel super heroes

Just keep the shit 2D with BlazBlue ghaphics. They make this, and it’s REMOTELY reminiscant to SFIV, I quit fighting games. FOREVER.
are you fucking serious. why is this something that you would even have to “wonder” about. you seriously think that they’d use the same sprites as mvc2 (which has SIXTEEN YEAR OLD SPRITES in it) in two thousand fucking ten?

Hey, if it was up to me, there wouldn’t have been an MVC1.
I dunno. Based on how well MVC2 did in '09 alone would enforce the “if it’s not broke, don’t fix it” outlook among fans, and with the addition of more characters to the 56 already there, redoing every sprite, along with attacks and such would likely be hell. However, I admit that it’s likely time for a change.
And by timer, I meant the one that Tatsunoko had, when it tells you it’s ok to use an assist after a pause.
With the way SF2 sold, why would they make SF4?

What are you talking about? The TvC =/= Mvc2 style play. Which is why I said a lot of Mvc2 players didn’t want to play TvC to get their MVC2 play fix regardless if it was on wii OR got an updated arcade release. How do we know how many characters capcom are going to do? or if it will be 2D or whatever?

There doesnt need to be a MvC3, to be really honest i dont think any of the hardcore marvel players will even touch it. All it takes is one old player bitching about it to make the whole community say fuck it.
If they could make marvel more crazy and put more glitches into it then im all game for it.
