MvC3: Claws and a Bra. X-23 Thread

Whats the timing for the qcf+a to combo after OTG? I couldn’t seem to get it for the life of me and I had some really juicy ass combos I was doing as well.

they aren’t invincible. M crosses up but only from about 2/3rds of a screen spacing will it put you next to the other guy, the rest of the time you are too far out. H hop puts you in the air but you go too high to get quality overhead mixups off it, the only move she has that will reach standing opponents is her j.B and it whiffs on crouchers. best way i found to use her feint hops was to call sentinel bombs assist and do it then. course this is based on limited time in the lab so i could be wrong

we tested d+H and came to the conclusion it is not an overhead either… you can block it crouching.

Meter overkill but it may be necessary against some teams if you want to get annoying characters out of the way. This should work on anyone.

I think we all knew we had to be close to cross-hop. lol

So apperently these

were wrong? Awesome.

The level 3 functions as an unblockable hit, not a grab. That’s probably why it still works on incoming characters.

It functions as an unblockable hit, which is why you can combo into it as well.

Ok well awesome either way.

As far as I can tell the ankle slice (:qcf::m:) is the only one that OTGs. I just use full charge on it and get it every time.

One of my first matches highlights X-23. A lot of button mashing but I did some pretty sick stuff on purpose a couple times.

Sentinel has too much health. Even with her longest combos X-23 has to use a hyper to reach the 50% mark against him.

Are you positive on this? When you initially posted this last night, I went into training and tested it by putting the dummy to crouch and block, and it definitely still hit overhead. Unless there’s some setting in training I’m missing…

RE: Sentinel:
I have a buddy here that has been playing Sent since Tuesday. None of us are that great, but we are starting to learn our chars rather well. When I’m in his face with X-23, there’s not much he can do, provided I cover my mixups with assists (Sentinel Bombs or Wesker low assist). It’s the approach to actually GET in his face that’s difficult, but once I do, if I play tricky enough I can build 3 meters quick and then use dirt nap to put Sent out. Heck, if you are still having trouble with him though, there’s always the snap backs.

Of course, its VERY early in the game right now, so everything I say in general could be a load of garbage by the end of the week.

That pretty much applies to almost every character. At least she can OTG into her

That is hot, wish I knew the input for that sexy beast of a combo.

Just put up a video of me in the Danger Room doing some combos I figured out Check it out

True, I find that she does good against him but due to low damage it gives him too many oppurtunities to put the hurting on her. Though with Xfactor, she is beastly against him.

Yeah, but on Deadpool he can usually get his air super out straight away and throw a couple at you until Dirt Nap runs out. It’s probably possible to grab him before he supers but it’s alot easier for him to time the super when he comes in than for you to time the jump. Maybe doing a meaty QCF+M then cancelling into say j.L, j.S would work though and be more consistent.

Unless his super hits I’ll just grab him on his way down /shrug. Even if it does I am not entirely sure if it last long enough for dirt nap timer to expire. Hmmm something to test. Fuck my work day want to go home and play now.

Oh ok. I thought it was the ankle slicer and not the neck slicer, I’ll try that out then.

i got my bro to hold downback
j.d+H would not hit
