MvC3: Claws and a Bra. X-23 Thread

This Basically covers the lock down and approach points folks were speaking of. Personally I think I may go with Dante for AA and Lock down and Wesker. Wesker’s low assist I am hoping will give me some unblockable opportunities with hop.

Pretty much a bleeding edge offense team with amazing mix ups and good DHC possibilities. Though a lot of it depends on how easy it is to get in with her a lone. I feel Dante and Wesker won’t have as many issues as she will, IF she will. Hop and her air supers may be enough.

I’m goIng with X, Viper and storm. I might switch viper for Dante but she seems to have a lot of potential.

Why are her hop combos so damn difficult to execute? Lol she’s not giving me any slack :frowning:

dante’s jam session locks the person in place which could make for a good command grab set up or hop mix up while i use ryu to give me cover since his hadouken is pretty fast and has some good hit stun so i can use that to get in somewhat.

I will be putting a few hours into testing my team of Dante/Wesker/X-23 tonight. If anyone has anything specific they need tested, let me know and I’ll do my best to answer as many questions as I can.

I’m curious as to whether either of Wesker’s “other” two assists (i.e. not the low assist) will be very useful to X-23, since she doesn’t seem to need to rely on Samurai Edge for mixups or OTG. Whether/how the wallbounce kick might be useful to X-23, or etc.

I’ve probably ruled out Dante at this point because I don’t think I want two low-health characters on my team right now, but seeing what kind of tricks are available with Jam Session assist wouldn’t hurt either.

EDIT: Also testing the viability/invincibility/priority of Crescent Scythe (:dp:+:atk:), as well as her AA assist, would be appreciated.

I’ll try my hardest to get to as many as I can. However, I may not have as much time available in training mode tonight, since I’ll probably have a few friends over to get some matches in. I’ll continue to test as much as possible until release though.

Also how long she can stay invisible for her level 3, Dirtnap.

I can check out some stuff tonight when I am playing my friends copy from Best Buy I HATE HIM SO MUCH NOW lol.

Also what’s the damage like on her level 3 hyper under all the x-factors? Cause if you have 4 bars and kill someone with an XF combo ended with super you could just put in a level 3 then possibly kill the next character as soon as they come in.

I don’t think you’re allowed to grab incoming teammates anymore.

Apparently Yipes has found his second character with X-23, will be interested in seeing what he’s come up with for sure.

just got my hands on dat mahvel and first thing I did was play x-23 non stop, here is what i figured out

she has a command dive kick kinda like cammy’s by jumping back i believe qcf A , thing is you can also tiger knee motion to do it instantly. A cool thing about it is that you can delay it a bit so it hits higher and sometimes lower, its not a overhead though :frowning:

her teleports are pretty cool but her coolest one is C teleport since you can cancel into dive dick to begin mix-ups. I’m convinced that if you space it properly it becomes a crossup so you got to hit that training mode

her down jab is low and its really fast and good, viper almost seems like a natural teammate for her since they complement each other with high low assists.

her lvl 3 is really tricky, she becomes invisible and you can do half circle back spetial and command grab

She does it on Thor at 38 seconds. I don’t know if it has invincible start up but it looks pretty good.

Sorry dude, didn’t get to try most of yours b/c I ended up getting home and only having around an hour to play. Yours will be first on my list tomorrow. I’ll have a lot more time tomorrow, so everyone keep the questions coming. For the record though, Jam Session does incredible block stun and as you know it is very flashy so it kind of masks your mixups. Must test more tomorrow…

After the initial L, M, H, QCB H, jL, jM, jH, I was unable to jc the next H. Maybe I just read the notation wrong though, I was kinda rushed tonight.

With lv3 XF, Dirt Nap did 640,000 damage.

Teleport? Do you mean the hops?

Can anyone comment on how fast the up-hop can be canceled into a normal? instant overhead?

how do you guys think this team would work x-23, captain america, and wesker?

i was thinking using ankle slicer assist, charging star (since it’s a fast move and can double as cover for approach or a “get off” move) and wesker’s samurai edge (for mix ups or more otg shenanigans and also to help cap otg, although ankle slicer should cover this) or wall bounce assist for extended her comboes and what not.
