If BB messes up your order, cancel it and get your money back. If they don’t, then return the version you got from Capcom Store (unopened) to BB. No harm done!

It’s really hit or miss. It all depends on your Best Buy in-store pick-up locations though.
Some Best Buy’s will hold the pre-orders behind the counter for their customers. A few actually don’t care, and just sell them on the floor to the general public.
As far as shipping goes, good luck if you’re ordering a fragile box set through the mail. They’ll ship it in their standard white bubble wrapped envelope for it to get tossed around and damaged.
Alright well that eases me a little. Hopefully my Best Buy doesn’t fall into the “living shitpile” category. And no, I won’t have it shipped. That’s way too much of a risk. I’ll be doing the pickup.
I selcted US economy postal (free shipping) and my bill does indeed say it will ship on the 10th.
I bought it next day shipping! I paid $96 to try and get the game super early. It’s literally the only game I’ve giving a shit about in the near and long term future. 
edit: Also, if someone in this thread cares, I tried ordering the strat guide from amazon and earlier today they mentioned that it’s been delayed till the 15th.
