I’m playing it safe and buying a copy for my 360 straight from gamestop after my classes tomorrow incase it doesn’t ship TODAY, but my PS3 special edition i preordered from capcom still says “IN PROCESS” which worries me >_>

I am seriously about to cancel the order. I hate to lose the CE, but I would honestly just rather have the game tonight or tomorrow. I am still showing “in Process” and those have become the two ugliest words in the English language to me at this point. I think it might be better to just try to cancel the order and walk away.
With it being ‘in process’, they probably won’t let you. I tried to and they ended up telling me they were not able to cancel the order. It ended up shipping that same day (on Friday), but it says it’s been in transit since then and only shows electronic shipping info being received in Minnesota.
I agree with whomever else said that I will never order from Capcom’s store again. I gave up my Amazon pre-order for the LE version to get the shirt and use a coupon I had for Capcom’s store and I now feel like a fool for doing so.
Yeah, I kind of talked myself out of it for now. I did some thinking, and I don’t think the best way to spend Valentines with my wife (who has only been so for 15 days) while she has a cold is going to a midnight release and then tap-tapping on my HRAP3 all night. I will just try to be patient with them and, if I get no info tomorrow, will raise hell until I can cancel the order and go pick up the copy somewhere.
No, enough of my BS, hopefully this personal info of mine will help those of you who have very vague or infrequent shipping information.
Shipping info is honestly the BANE of any online retailer because people depend on it to know where their packages are. However, you need to understand that from the moment that a package leaves the warehouse, the seller has no power over the tracking information anymore. That info is on FedEX, UPS, or USPS to provide to you. By that fact, you need the worker who is handling the package to scan the package at every destination (does not happen all the time) and, when they scan it, you better hope that the shipping barcode is not smudged (or it will not scan). I have had tons of customers freak out on my store for bogus shipping info in the past, and the lack of information 9 times out of 10, is for one of those reasons.
If you call to get shipping information, either from the seller or USPS, the person on the other end of the phone, more often than not, is looking at the exact same information that you have, so they are usually of very little help. The only person who would know that for sure is the delivery person who has that in his or her possession.
Shit. I’d KILL for a crappy no-information tracking number right now…lol

Actually, your bank or credit card company should be more than happy to refund your money to you and file a fraudulent charge claim against the Capcom Store.
Mine did - considering that I had “print-screens” of my bank statement, Capcom Store’s error message when trying to access my account, a print-screen of my e-mail notification from Capom Store that my order (with my order number and tracking number displayed) had shipped on the 11th, and, most importantly, a print-screen of the U.S.P.S. package tracking page… showing that, as of today, 02-14-2011, the U.S.P.S. has no record of any such package.
Because, whilst Capcom Customer service in India and the Phillipines might want to take the risk, your bank most certainly will not fuck with the federal government… which is what postal fraud entails.

Just got off the phone with customer service manager again.
Got told that if your order is “in process” that it will not be shipping until tomorrow or later in the week. Still economy slow shipping, no upgrade even. Apparently they just dropped the ball entirely on this and TONS of orders are going to be unfilled from the sounds of the manager.
I ended up telling her that I was not in any way paying for this pre-order and demanded to have it removed and money refunded (I was charged on the 28th of last month). I highly recommend others to do the same, and to also write scathing letters to Digital River and Capcom letting them know what a freaking joke this ended up being.
Guess I’m headed to Wally World in a couple hours, as I called and they have CE in stock.
Really wanted to show support for Capcom and buy direct, but not at waiting upwards of a week for my game to arrive.

OK that is absolutely awful news. If that is true, I am honestly 100% disappointed with the Capcom Store. While I have no ill feeling towards people that ordered the game after me and got it or are getting it on time, the fact that I ordered last month and have not had any communication with them is just disgusting.
I bought direct because I thought the HAD them. I didn’t preorder anywhere because I thought it would HAVE it.
When you guys cancel, did you do it over the phone or did you use their online module?
I ordered my CE copy from Bestbuy.ca with free shipping through Canada Post. They shipped my copy today out of their warehouse in Mississauga and its due to arrive tomorrow on release =) . I guess living next to a major warehouse hub has its benefits.
Err my amazon order still hasn’t shipped and i had release day delivery. Not worried since amazon rocks, but I think that’s weird. It’ll prob. ship out of ther Ky warehouse like usual and I’m in Indy.
Cancel over the telephone. Make sure to ask for a manager right off the bat, take names and get the managers supervisor.
