MvC3: Becoming a Hellcat: The Felicia Combo Thread

Just curious if anyone here has played any Felicia in concert with Tron. I’ve been working on a team of Dante Tron Felicia, which seems awkward at first sight, but actually has ridiculous synergy. I see above CrispyTacoz answered for someone else my first question of “Can Felicia receive a DHC glitch with Helper super, and if so, what to do after it?” However, the Tron King Kobun super is different than most DHC glitch supers in that it actually hits while the receiver is out. So Servebot is calling for order in the court while Felicia is out ‘n’ about. I was wondering, if anyone has played this duo, which you like to do during that time, or if it’s just a matter of waiting for it to end then going for the df+M?

With Dante, he does two jS during the Kobun, then OTGs upon completion. Anyone have anything fun for Felicia during this process? I just started working w/ this team (and Felicia in general), but I have a feeling I’m gonna love it a lot. So as I gain more experience I’ll share my findings if anyone cares.

Believe it or not, Tron and Felicia have REALLY good synergy. I am aware of the DHC trick possibilites, but I don’t really rely on it because I have Tron as anchor on one of my teams.

After the Beacon Bomb>King Servbot DHC start-up, you can call Kitty Helper and use a :m: or :h: Cat Spike depending if you haven’t used up your ground bounce or not. But if you did, then you might as well just press :h: and then launcher while the servbot is hitting your opponent. :3

Although, I’m not sure if you wanna use Kitty Helper as a dhc trick follow up because the kitty is gonna mess up your combo. You can use Dancing Flash as a substitute if you are in the corner or if you want to use THAT as your main DHC trick follow-up.

So, I recently decided to level up my Felicia combos because I wasn’t getting much damage…and I’m having a lot of trouble with this one, I’m guessing because there’s really no leniency between each move, you HAVE to cancel it all very precisely. Mostly the juggle after the first toy touch, they keep dropping out of that, and if I go fast enough for it all to hit, the standing heavy does not.

Also, I was wondering if it was too much to ask to have the first page redone or whatever to list the max damage BnBs for every situation; off a jab, a M cat spike, a command grab, air throw, ground throw, air attack…etc. That would be extremely helpful for ME, and for new Felicia players just showing up. Nearly every character board has a combo thread with the first post being ridiculously outdated.

why do all the combo transcripts have smileys in them

The upgraded forums for SRK fucked everything over.

When Ultimate comes out, this shit needs to be updated. BIG TIME. :3

Can someone tell me what :slight_smile: means in the combos? I can’t seem to find it.

I’ll give this thread an overhaul once ultimate drops. Probably not the day-of, but throughout that week.

Throw, :df::m: [:uf:] :m:,:m:,:h:,:s: (land)
[:uf:]:m:,:m:,:h:,:s: (land)
:m:,:s: [:uf:]:l:,:l:,:m:,:m:,:h:,:rdp::h: (land)
:d::h:,:s: [:uf:] :h:,:s: [:b:] (land)
:atk::atk:(backdash) :f::m:(sandsplash) … :qcf::atk::atk:

580k off a back/airthrow. Can hit about 740k off a grounded A attack.
Hard to time the hyper right… you have to tap forward and go neutral immediately after the backdash before hitting M, otherwise the forward input of the sandsplash is too close to the hyper and you get kitty helper instead. You can’t trigger sand splash by going to :df: any more.

It’s easier if you somehow end up midscreen. Skip the backdash and just do H Sand Splash into Dancing Flash. You can also do a longer backdash into H Sandsplash when in the corner to make things easier, but there’s not enough time to do that after the short relaunch used above.

Throw, :df::m: [:uf:] :m:,:m:,:h:,:s: (land)
[:uf:] :l:,:m:,:h:,:s:,:rdp::h: (land)
:h:(3),:d::h:,:s: [:uf:] :m:,:m:,:h:,:s: [:b:] (land)
:atk::atk:(backdash) … :f::h:(sandsplash) :d::db::b::atk::atk:[:h:], [:b:]…:f::l:
About 800k off a back/airthrow, and about 930k using a variant of it off a normal hit.
You can also replace the PHM at the end with Dancing Flash. It’s easier than the previous combo but does about 40k less damage.

When far from the corner you can still start combos with the Lv3, either by connecting with a slide or air divekick straight into it or by OTGing with:
:d::df::m::f::uf::l:(whiff):m:,:qcb::atk::atk:
Then you combo afterwards as normal with :df::m: [:uf:] :m:,:m:,:h:,:s:

I haven’t even begun to work assists into this stuff yet.
p.s. Don’t forget to mash all the hypers. There’s no reason not to.

Can we start a new thread for Ultimate combos? Would make maintaining it much much easier to do.

I agree with this!

Felicia in umvc3…she easily shot up in the tier list with that delta kick in the air…even magneto has a hard time catching up with her…omg i thought id never see the day when nobody can play keep away against her

You can’t? :frowning: Seems like they’re going out of their way to be annoying. Give with one hand and take away with the other, guess it’s only a minor annoyance.

Yeah, it means you have to do some stupid stick gymnastics to not have Kitty Helper come out.

Updated X-Factor combos off a throw or slide (Felicia jumps a lot faster during X-Factor now so you have to do different jump loops)

Lv1:

Dash :s:
(No reason to ever use PHM since any character is dead by now)

Number of hits you get out of :h: varies. For consistency do one hit.

Also, if you still have X-Factor left after PHM finishes you can do M Sand Splash instead of L.

Every time I OTG with sand splash I end up using Kitty Helper and when I do OTG into Dancing Flash my opponent ends up falling out of it half the time.
Is there a specific time or sort of spacing I should be aware of to ensure that my opponent doesn’t fall out of Dancing Flash?

Depends where you are on the screen. If you are in the middle on the stage, use Heavy Sand Splash and you’ll notice that it will do about 4 hits properly. You can cancel into Dancing Flash when you see the last part of Heavy Sand Splash hit. As for comboing in the corner, you gotta backdash while charging (you can do this by pressing :atk::atk: while holding back) and then do the move.

For ease of use, I’m using this variant of Spirit’s corner throw combo.

Throw, :df::m: [:uf:] :m:,:m:,:h:,:s: (land)
[:uf:]:m:,:m:,:h:,:s: (land)
:h:[3 hits],:d::h:,:s: [:uf:]:m:,:m:,:h:,:rdp::h: (land)
:s: [:ub:] :h:,:s: [:b:] (land)
:f::h:(sandsplash) … :qcf::atk::atk:

576k mashed out. Only works if the delta kick carries you to the corner (If you do a double jump loop, you will). Then after the ADK, if you delay the HS inputs slightly, you can land and get a heavy sand splash out in time and be at a good distance with the jump away. Works on Strider, Racoon, Phoenix, Sentinel (the 4 I tested) so it’s safe to say it’ll probably work on most the cast. Plus you will find yourself less pressured to do Dancing Flash after H Splash as opposed to M Splash.

Side note, if you really REALLY want to practice jump loops, do it against RR. That guy’s hitbox = rage.

I wasn’t aware that I had to backdash when in the corner. I would just walk back and then sand splash lol.
Thanks for the help.

I have a 1 mil combo that involves 3 bars, a shopping cart, some kitty litter, and a ground bounce from good ol’ Cat Spike. I am gonna try my hardest to put some combo footage for this weekend, so stay tuned!

Hmm, interesting. Didn’t know you had to backdash before using Sand Splash so I was doing a pretty hard combo using light Sand Splash and Frank’s shopping cart.
