Meditate on this.
I really like the flavor, but they might as well go all the way and give them properties that aren’t tied to x-factor. Like, snapbacks in uncanny groove eat a meter instead of switching characters.

Okay, I don’t think it will ever be possible for Capcom to fix every broken lvl3 XFC character there is.
Better solutions would be
A. Make all 3 xfc levels share the same duration of activation, it could be 10, 15 or 20 seconds. Right now, lvl3 completely renders lvl1 and lvl2 ineffective.
Or
B.Once you activate XFC, your hyper meter should no longer be increased whether you hit or being hit. It’s crazy how the current XFC deals not only great chip damage with certain characters but also raise their hyper meter much faster
Please, by all means post your own then. I’d really like to see what kind of crazy properties other people’s xfactors might have.
I don’t care personally, it was just one mechanic that came in mind.
But to use my system of xfactors as an example, if Wolverine picks Amazing Xfactor and blows up my point, having a burst is safer than simply relying on my blocking skills on the incoming 50/50.
This seems it would make the game even more broken imo. I mean what if I equip Hulk or Tron with Amazing X-Factor? That don’t really block in the air in the first place because they always j.H. Plus, the increase speed would only make them faster and eventually cross the opponent up or catch them with super armor.
Then pick invincible and burst or fantastic and double/ triple/ quadruple jump and chicken block your way of out it. Activate astonishing and play turtle. Or make up something like Marvelous xfactor, which allows parrying. Look, I’m just throwing ideas out there. If you want, you can come up with your own and post them, but this is just an example of how the game COULD look like not how it SHOULD be. If you want to tweak my ideas, go ahead. You want to rewrite them, take out half of them, that’s fine by me too.
You’ve got an interesting idea but there’s too many of them. It’s like the Groove Systems but I think that the abilities are splayed out too much between the “factors” for the average player to grasp onto without enough skill and training. Also, in this game where shit is already all over the place and character’s abilities are off the charts (in relation to CvS2; e.g. the Groove Systems) it might be a little too generous. Would you mind revising another copy with maybe 3 of those factors instead of 7?
For example, I would never ever pick Amazing X-Factor in a game where everyone has Super Jump on default and half the cast or more have air projectiles and the other half have screen covering anti-air, it’s a death sentence to activate it unless you can 100% hitconfirm and XFC into it.
A game where I have 3 characters and unless I fuck up BIG TIME, only one dies at a time.
The idea of selectable XF is interesting. I still think the person who came upwith the idea of defensive or offensive XF had the right idea. XF during blockstun=Guard Cancel+ Defensive boosts. XF during hitstun of your attack or at neutral= increased damage.
Oh there’s a 100% chance that a system like that would produce some hilariously broken stuff. The advantage is that because it doesn’t have to do everything, it can be fun and exciting broken stuff, which is what everyone expected to get when they asked for MvC3 to be ridiculously broken. And, with diverse enough abilities, there’s a good chance that a much larger portion of the cast would be playable.
I’m not bashing your idea. I actually think it’s pretty neat, but all I’m saying it will further create more problems than actually solving the current one. My idea was for X-factor to be a unique ability for every character but you can only use that ability once per match for only one character. For example, X-Factor for X-23 would be for her to turn invisible similar to her Lvl 3, but her attacks increase damage. Or for Hulk, have super armor for all of his attacks. Wolverine & Deadpool, Healing factor to regain red health. Iron Man, add more armor visually giving him new specials and increase defense. Ryu, transforming into Evil Ryu giving him more specials etc…
That way, X-Factor could be a homeage to the character giving each character a power-up that is unique to that single person. The player has the option of using X-Factor whenever he pleases for whatever character he or she chooses. I think it could add a deeper element to the game than the current bs we have now.
I thought I said before that X-Factor is really boring. All it does is make you faster and stronger.
I like ogrekillers idea much better, or DAPVIP’s. Make it more like Dark Force, or have multiple powerups of different variety that any char can use.**
While we’re at it, can Capcom bring back Zero’s level 3 from TvC? Make it like gravity squeeze or something lol.
Considering that one scaled like hell and was about his only useful Hyper…nah.
But this is MAHVEL, level 3s don’t scale here.
Yeah, but his level 3 in TvC didn’t start with the Dark hold. And the one he’s got here is probably better anyways.
Didn’t his TvC hyper also have like the longest animation for a super ever?
It wasn’t nearly as long as some of the level 1’s we have in this game. I just want a cinematic lvl 3 that deals lvl 3 damage.
Only thing we need is:
XF nerfed severely, level 1 lets you 100% really easily, its absurd.
Sentinel should have more health, Do people really still have problems vs this big slow low health character? i mean cmon.
Wesker health nerf, 1.1 is too much for his speed and mixups give him 950 or 900
Well…that would be a nerf really.
His TvC level 3 by comparison
Pros
Faster startup, more unstaled damage (so in MvC3 it’d be more damage). Less cooldown on whiff? (not sure)
cons.
Has a lot less range (the hitbox isn’t much bigger than his normals), has less overall invincibility, can’t hit assists.
No. Just give Zero a damage buff on his Level 3.Done.
There is no use for Zero’s TvC level 3 because it doesn’t have much invincibility frame, AND your oppotent could buffer a invulnerable/counter super after the flash. The startup for TvC level 3 isn’t really fast at all. You would lose the benefits of X-Factor cancel in Level 3, being able to kill assists, and a high durability projectile with a huge hitbox that beats everything attacking Zero.
I don’t want Zero’s level 3, I want the cool level 3 animation. Hell they could keep the current Level 3 and make him go into an animation that adds 50k or something when it connects and I would be happy.
