mp is guaranteed, but lk mk is iffy. once in a while, a 2nd lk comes out. thats why you see people doing it with mp now.
yeah, I do mp a lot regardless. but I’ve been able to time lk mk without issue
for me, sometimes it seems easier, it’s just plain weird…
on dreamcast, I can rom perfectly, almost never mess up…
in this version, in some fights I can do it with lk, mk until 30 hits or so with no problem, some other times, that damn second lk will just keep coming out every time…
don’t know if this is caused by lag or something… probably is
Well, if this is not patched, I’ll just do mp rom because it works better.
I’ll just repost this; my friend’s audio is glitched up and will cut out for a second or so about every 20 seconds or so. His machine is hooked up through a stereo system, but this is the only game that causes the xbox to do that.
Requests in order of importance:
- Training mode with a manual online partner
- Ranking system that works better (separates good from bad like in SF4)
- Kick feature in rooms
- Ping customization (i want ping from <50 or <100)
- Record feature
- Change the word ping to connection and give bars like SF4 so people understand what it means (I swear I get people on purpose picking highest ping because they probably think thats their rating score)
- Make “A” actually a start game button. Games can start with no one pressing any button
Why not a record feature?
Record feature as in Vampire Chronicles on DC?? Bc that shit would would be PHRESHHHH
Ya, wtf is going on with any multiplayer screen that prompts you to press A. It’s not intuitive at all, it just seems random.
I’m just curious as to what this is. Hyper Grav XX Tempest or something?

What’s the reason for the kick feature again? I don’t remember any of the pros for it that were discussed, but I think this would just be abused. It would be great if the host can pick somebody with high ping or if there was a vote, but at the same time scrubs would just kick people who are kicking their asses.

As long as they keep the ping numbers for those of us who understand and want the more accurate measurement. Then again, I was messing around in arcade mode on SF4, and many people who challenged me had 1 or 2 bars. I was thinking, “Wtf, do people not understand that a red connection at two bars is bad?”
On a few occasions, both the opponent and I were pressing the A button to start, yet the match wouldn’t start and we were just stuck into the lobby until we left.
Why would you not want to be able to kick people? Do you really want to get stuck playing a scrub or someone annoying over and over again? That doesn’t realy make any sense to me.
When I say kick, I mean from player matches, not ranked. I don’t want to be in a room with 3 good people and then a random scrub comes in. And let the scrubs kick me, if I pick MSP and I get kicked before the match starts, Ill be happy I didn’t waste my time
:grrr: Lag during the character select screen resulting in wrong chars/assists sucks. There goes the match before it starts. We need an undo button or something.
This is really strange and no one should ever be able to reproduce this issue so I don’t know why I’m bothering, but:
xbox 360, mas stick
I was playing against Crizzle and chipping his Storm to death when my Cable DHCd to Tron’s King Kobun out of AHVB. The thing about that is is that King Kobun is QCB - even if I had done the inputs for another super accidentally during mashing, Lunch Rush should have come out since I never touch B or DB during mashing.
Absolutely bamboozling. It seemed like F/DF/F triggered it, but — I have no idea what happened and do not have the ability to turn on button inputs to see what the game thought had just happened.
isn’t this just another example of the game flipping around inputs like spider dan mentioned?
He said he was experiencing it with strider and myself and mixup have both had the game give us HSF when attempting a fly input with sentinel.
I’m sure other players are experiencing something similar. All though, If you take spider dans post about teleport turning to gram, then take your example, the situations where they’re happening are totally different… Spider dan is getting it mid game no supers involved. The one you mentioned is a DHC. This needs to be identified asap before they start the patch.
anyone got any clues what so ever as to what might be causing this? I can’t think of any engine specific stuff that would cause this to happen.
My first guess was input lag on side switch, which would make sense for Strider after a side switch teleport, but not any sense for Sentinel or Preppy’s DHC (and TBH, it doesn’t even make that much sense for Strider, since I’ve been getting Ghrams right after orb activation).
The second guess I had is that the game is somehow “remembering” F (in Strider’s case, the F from orb activate) on the F-B transition, at which point a fast F,B,D,DB is becoming something like F,D,DF and executing as a DP.
The reason why this pops into my head is that I remember talking to a certain former ST champ shortly after HDR’s release, and he informed me that one of the problems that he had with HDR is that (at least, in certain situations) it would “remember” inputs; specifically, you could motion D,DF,F and wait like 10 seconds, then push P and a fireball would come out. Or maybe it was that you could push F, go to neutral, wait 10 sec, then push D,DF+P and get a DP. You get the gist of it.
If MVC2 shares some of the code from HDR (which is practically certain), then it would seem plausible for some vestige of this to remain.
Tested and disproved.
I had a disconnect in ranked lobby, got to the “Connection Lost… Press A to continue” screen, and slowly and solemnly pushed the A button one solitary time.
Still whiteout.
^-- Co-signed on “no, that doesn’t help, but thanks”.
I mashed like I was playing Magneto and still got stuck in the warp tubes. =\
The insight about delayed inputs/long input windows being responsible is quite interesting to me - I’d buy that.
I’m curious how Marvel would have any HDR code in it? Do you mean netplay stuff only?
hmmm, thats pretty crazy.
are the flipped inputs only happening only on netplay?
not sure if this is just me or mentioned before but i noticed the chip damage is more online than on DC.
i think i agree. I blocked a rocket punch and I had at least 3 pixels but i still died. i thought it does 1 pixel but i don’t remember
